Hi everyone! Just a little recap of what’s happening here at the store this week:

- On Thursday July 11th we’re being blessed with a visit from Jimetta Rose & The Voices of Creation. Along with this special visit will they bring along some of the very first copies of the album around! These will be available for this event only. As it’s a small & intimate affair, we can only host a handful of people and is this a RSVP-only event. You can RSVP by mailing us at [email protected]

- On Friday 12th we’re being visited by family: Jiwa Jiwa celebrates the debut release of Pala.G on the label They’re bringing out the reel-to-reel for some very exclusive cuts and demo’s that you won’t be able to hear anywhere else... a real treat!
This is open for everyone.

Great master Rogê is in town! We’re very thrilled having music in the building that inspires us so much, we cant believe how good ‘Curyman’ is and cant wait to have the real life experience!

The journey for new music, new & old is never ending here at the shop. And this week we’ve taken a deep plunge in a music that’s been ever influential for us and to a lot of the musics we like. Disco!

A big delve into the warehouse for some Warehouse classics. Top disco hits, unclassics and secret weapons alike. Mostly 12’s in here...

And, there’s a really good reason why these are sought after, after so many years... Still rocking all the discotheques all over!

Something really special is coming up in our basement next Monday. For a select few Rogê from Brazil will give a tiny acoustic performance playing cuts from his latest album “Curyman”. We’ve got a limited batch of all three Opgezwolle albums in. For us at RH they are one of the most highly appreciated dutch hiphop albums of all time. The quirky and unique productions of seamlessly merge with the ever flowing and playful lyrics of and . The albums highlights and reminisces of an era that accelerated the dutch hiphop scene, setting a new standard.

A necessity in any collection if you ask us…

Jazz staples drop! Just stocked our used records bins with a whole lot of classics & jazz staples. Very nice condition on these overal and these are long gone and most haven’t been in print for a good while. Some store favourites and records by some of the giants included.

So if you’re looking to complete parts of your jazz collection this might be it.

ALERT! We’ve stocked up on vital DJ equipment from esteemed Japanese cartridge brand, 100 Sounds.

We’ve been testing in the store for a while where they’ve been steadily winning over the staff and we’re all very happy with the results. A very solid listening experience without sacrificing your DJ needs (volume and fidelity!) and packaged in a moisture resistant tins that can easily be thrown in the record bag without fear of damage.

Along with their own DJ cartridges they’ve developed a replacement stylus for the DJ- favoured (and now discontinued) Shure M44G cartridge which we’ll also l be stocking.
Furthermore, they’ve thought of a convenient way of keeping your records clean too - with their handy roller brush.

All products are manufactured in Japan.

On Friday June 14th we welcome you to join us for another recording in our basement with .nl from 5-7pm!

The ever-evolving music-centred initiative started out in 2007 as a club night (down the road from the RH store) at the Bitterzoet before going on to operate across multiple venues across Amsterdam and beyond.

With its new family members (who will be sharing music with us on the 14th) the collective have gone on to host movie screenings, community gatherings all whilst maintaining their strong presence in Amsterdam nightlife.

They’ll be sharing records that epitomise the Live at the BBQ approach and we can’t wait to host them for a cosy gathering in our basement during their mix recording.

So swing by the basement on the 14th and see you then!

Big batch of second hand records hitting the bins! Lots of new ins for all flavours, check them, link in stories.

Aphex Twin: “It’s just too easy to make a standard dance track,you’ve got to put a bit of thought into it to get something a bit different.”

This is his take on that from 1992. An expanded edition of the UK rave classic on R&S, ‘Digeridoo’. This is the first time the EP has been re-issued with extra material.

Whilst digging in his DAT archive (allegedly stored in an airtight military ammo box), Richard James revisited the recordings, encoding them through a Nakamichi CR7e cassette deck, using the customised deck with vari-speed to encode at speeds “felt right at the time”. Alongside these CR7e versions, the original mixes have been remastered for this edition.

We’re thrilled beyond Saturn for sunday June 2nd’s hang with International Anthem Rec. Co., all the way from Chicago, and they’re here with a full crew. Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti & Frank Rosaly, Ruth Goller, King Hippo and special guests will make their way down to the basement for a heavy rotation of future (International) Anthems, intimate live performances and some exclusive merch from the label.

Butttt we got more, they’re perfoming an IARC showcase in full at Tolhuistuin on Friday May 31st. And we’ve got 2 free tickets to the show on Friday for the first 3 people picking up any record on the IARC label at the shop.

See the showcase on friday, hang out with ‘em on Sunday. A pretty good weekend we’d say.

On June 2nd will Chicago based IARC will hang out at the shop. They’re here with a full crew: Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti & Frank Rosaly, Ruth Goller, Bex Burch and King Hippo. Kicking it downstairs from 15:00 on. With a heavy rotation of future (International) Anthems, intimate live performances and some exclusive merch from the label.

Just after the release of ‘MESTIZX’, we’re thrilled to meet the crew behind it and many more from the vast catalog that we love over here.

Come hang out with us to be the first to hear the anthems and kick it with those behind ‘em. It might transport you to Saturn too.

(Unholy-) Grails from the late 80’s Belgian New Beat Scene. Back & Remastered.

Both records by Zsa Zsa La Boum are unholy in terms of hard to find as well as the sound they contain. It’s the pivotal time where new beat shifted to a harder, darker, more acidic sound after an influx on the continent from the records made in Chicago. Special records that could’ve been made only at the right place at the right time.

Now available again in expanded editions with reworks by Anatolian Weapons.

Our favourite fruits-from-space related band ‘Another Taste’ from the Space Grapes series is back and you do want to touch this.

Heavy 7” containing the Chicago cult dance band Maxx Traxx’ ‘Don’t Toucht It’ and Another Taste’s rendition hereof. You might have (very briefly) seen the white label 12” floating by but now we can fully enjoy both versions of the jam on 7”.

Black & Coloured editions around. Indulge on the grapes!

Our minds are out of its minds, and we’re soothing it by jamming a very very welcome restock on the contemporary classic ‘Pleasure, Joy and Happiness’ by Eddie Chacon. Produced by John Caroll Kirby.

It doesn’t get much smoother then this. Very much recommended for a day like today.

We’re beyond excited to host a true inspiration from Detroit for a session in the store. We’ve seen MANY of his records here in the store over the course of many moons, still going so strong after all this time. We’re blessed to witness him in real life to show us what his music consists of. This session will be an instore affair on May 18th 2024. Starting at 17:00!

Insanity from the warehouse...

We’re not sure how it happened but it did. We’ve uncovered a couple of boxes with long outta print records. All great stuff from a little while ago. Hard to get now but these storage copies can sort you out. All styles but limited supplies...
