Lee introduced me to Box Sociaal, a brilliant place for breakfast / all day brunch. There are 2 branches, one in the Jordaan and one in the Plantage. I had the special which was great but she had the “Sweet Hot Chick - a fat and fluffy buttermilk pancake, signature fried chicken tenders drenched in maple, chilli glaze and a gooey fried egg”. This was superb and definitely what I’m ordering next time!

Lee and I visited the Boijmans van Beuningen Depot yesterday in Rotterdam. It was great. If you go, do register for a free 30 minute tour, you get to go into one of the storage rooms and learn about the place before exploring on your own.

For years I’ve told people this grassy area just North of Durgerdam was a floodplain but this is the first time I’ve seen it flooded.
