Afgelopen Januari kreeg de werkgever van mijn vrouw Karin te horen dat hij ALS had. In Juli sloot hij na vele jaren de deuren van de bakkerij in Ezinge. Mijn vrouw heeft 18 jaar met veel plezier en liefde bij hem gewerkt. Gisteren deed hij nog één keer de winkel open om geld op te halen voor 3FM Serious Request; zij zamelen geld in voor Stichting ALS Nederland. Samen met bakkerijcollega's uit de buurt en lokale ondernemers hebben ze er een heerlijke dag van gemaakt met oa de verkoop van broden en een loterij. Het streefbedrag van €5000 werd ruimschoots overschreden. Ik ben heel trots op het team waar Karin van deel heeft uitgemaakt om dit mogelijk te maken.

Eem doneren! Mijn vrouw heeft er ruim 18 jaar gewerkt en het bedrijf moest afgelopen zomer sluiten vanwege ALS van de eigenaar. Ze organiseren nog een keer een dag voor verkoop waarbij de opbrengst naar de stichting gaat.

Steun deze actie! Bakkers in de bres voor ALS Bakkerij Leistra die eerder dit jaar de deuren definitief moest sluiten vanwege de diagnose ALS opent op 19 december nog 1 keer de deuren in kerstsfeer. De bakker die dicht moest door ALS gaat dus nog 1x open voor ALS. We houden een mini kerstmarkt met heerlijke kerstproducten die mede mogelijk zijn...

GESTOLEN!
Vandaag tussen 10.00-11.00 u voor de zaak is mijn bakfiets gestolen. Hij stond aan de overkant van de zaak bij de lijstenmaker. De persoon zal het zwaar hebben aangezien de fietscomputer en batterij in mijn bezit zijn.

Every year we buy some delicious Geisha coffee for xmas as a special. Also this year we bought some from Allan Hartmann's Rocky Mountain Coffee farm in Panama. Allan is the son of Ratimor, the owner of Hartmann Estate in Santa Clara. He really knows his coffee and is focused on quality. We have limited stock, so get the boxes quick! And don't worry, it really delicious. See you soon!

We had lots of questions if we're doing a Filterbox again this year. Sadly due to the inflation and $ vs €, high quality coffees are becoming really expensive. If I wanted to make a box with two amazing coffees like we did in previous years, it meant I had to price the box really high with the risk that people wouldn't buy it because it's so expensive. So for this year we decided to do just one amazing coffee at a reasonable price next to the traditional annual Geisha from Panama. This Sudan Rume from Los Cipreses is really something. This is the special Black Honey lot where they infuse the coffee with liquids coming from the natural processed coffee, enhancing the flavor of it in general. We have plenty of stock and will roast this every week until Xmas! We'll also have in on bar from mid december on. We'll have it packed in these nice boxes for you for under the tree.

10 years of Black & Bloom. I can not describe enough how proud I am. I would like to thank everyone who came by and enjoyed the coffee. Let's go for another ten great years of home-roasted coffee and freshly made cakes and bakes. Thank you!

LIMITED EDITION Lord Voldemort Colombia Huila Natural (Anaerobic) - Every once in a while we like to serve you something special. The Voldemort was already on our filter menu for quite some time and people were asking if we could roast it for espresso. The last two batches will be roasted only for espresso and we'll have it on bar as well. So@be quick, this one will probably sell out in two or three weeks. Enjoy!

Van harte gefeliciteerd. Al tien jaar gebruiken met grote tevredenheid de Volle Melk van de Weerribben voor onze melkkoffies. Mede hierdoor wonnen wij verschillende nationale prijzen. Dank voor de ongelooflijke inzet.

Gisteravond met dit geweldige stel baristi een avondje Beatles van de gezien als personeelsuitje. Wat een geweldige show en een heerlijke avond. Dank jullie wel dames!

New coffees are hitting the shelves. These two new filters are really something. The Kabyiniro is a Rwanda Anaerobic processed. We're still tweaking it but already it is spicy and sweet at the same time. The Kenya Kagumoini PB is a classic, we love our peaberries! Now at the shop!

Today is International Womens Day! I would love to show my appreciation to the lovely girls who are helping me out at the shop. Every time they work I am certain that they make the best coffee possible and make sure all guests get the same quality of drinks, again and again. Girls, you rock! 😙

This delicious Costa Rican coffee Corazon de Jesus is now available at the shop. It's a double Anaerobic processed coffee. First they ferment the coffee for three days, then it's dried and again fermented. This should give some funky flavours. Firsts tests showed teopical fruits like peaches and mango but then marinated in balsamic vinegar. Really delicious coffee! Only for a limited amount of time available!

So we're getting a new coffee next week for our house espresso. This program is beneficial for the farmers, giving them a premium per bag sold for agronomy projects for climate change and the challenges that comes with it. We're looking forward presenting you this coffee!
