Voor een volle bestuurskamer presenteerden op 24 maart de deelnemers aan de Hanze Junior Honours programma’s hun resultaten aan familie, vrienden, leraren en docenten.

De talentvolle havisten waren geselecteerd door hun scholen en deden de afgelopen maanden mee aan 𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘦𝘧𝘵𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘢 van het Hanze Honours College. Het programma vormt een kennismaking met het honoursonderwijs op de Hanzehogeschool en is gericht op het ontdekken en/of verder ontwikkelen van hun talent. Ook kan het inspiratie geven voor hun profielwerkstuk en de keuze wat ze na de havo gaan doen.

Het programma leverde diverse eindproducten op. Van nieuw ontworpen fietsenkelder tot een sportveld voor ouderen. Als afsluiting ontvingen een certificaat van deelname.

Ouders waren trots op wat hun kinderen hebben gepresteerd.

Welke keuzes heeft schrijver, columnist én programmamaker Özkan Akyol (beter bekend als Eus) gemaakt om op de plek te komen waar hij nu staat? Wat heeft hij van zijn studententijd geleerd? Hoe gaat hij om met hoge verwachtingen en prestatiedruk? Wat is succes? En moet je dat eigenlijk wel willen? ️💬

Tijdens de lustrum talk (de Hanze bestaat 225 jaar) wordt Eus eerst kort geïnterviewd door presentator én alumnistudent Nathan de Vries, om vervolgens interactief vragen van studenten en medewerkers uit het publiek te beantwoorden. 🎙️

Het Hanze Honours College (HHC) biedt deze leerlingen een mooie kans om kennis te maken met honoursonderwijs binnen de Hanzehogeschool: onderwijs voor studenten die meer willen, kunnen én durven.

Het (proeftuin) programma bestaat uit bijeenkomsten op vier vrijdagen en een slotbijeenkomst. Deze keer een samenwerking met Bureau NoorderRuimte, Creative Media & Game Technologies (Instituut voor Communicatie Media & IT), Academie voor Gezondheidsstudies en Ontwerpfabriek.

De programma’s vormen een kans voor talentvolle havisten om:

🔸 eigen talent te ontdekken en verder te ontwikkelen;

🔸 daarvoor het maximale uit zichzelf en hun studie halen;

🔸 hun talent te delen en in te zetten voor de samenleving;

🔸 en zich vanuit die motivatie te oriënteren op hun profielwerkstuk en een passend vervolg in het hoger onderwijs.

𝗢𝗻 𝟭𝟲.𝟬𝟮.𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯, you have the opportunity to take part in the “𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁” seminar hosted by the students SBMF Honours College.

We will test and expand your knowledge of various countries and cultures from around the world. From state capitals and famous events, to days honoring different professions and cultural traditions, the world is full of opportunities to celebrate and recognize important causes and people. Get ready to put your global knowledge to the test and discover new facts with your teammates. Of course there will be international snacks available and exciting prizes to be won!

“ My first introduction to the honours programme was during an information session. Although in the first instance, I thought it would not be for me, I still took the plunge. It is by far the best decision I made during my studies. Thanks to the honours programme, I have become a better version of myself. The honours programme has ensured that there is a stronger, more extensive and more beautiful foundation on which a beautiful professional career can be built. The honours programme has caused a snowball effect in my studies. In addition to Social Legal Services, I started doing the honours programme and then a second
bachelor’s degree in law and a board year. I hope to complete the honours programme and the two bachelors in February 2020. With every challenge I took on during my studies, I have taken pleasure and learning new things as a starting point. My goal for the future is to continue to challenge myself and above all to enjoy the things I do. “

In collaboration with TalentWeb Groningen, you are invited for a late afternoon filled with workshops, inspiring speakers and (network) activities. Enjoy this event with some free drinks and foods on May 18th, 2022 from 16:30. 🤩

What a special day! ⚡ On the 25th of March the second Honours kick-off with first year Honours students took place.

This time the students worked according to an Honours method called ‘City as Text’: wandering in the neighborhood, observing the surroundings and citizens and having small talks with strangers to figure out what matters in this specific area. This way they observed public spaces weren’t used at the fullest - and they figured out how to facilitate integration in the neighborhood. 🏡

To deepen their project and keep them energetic, the students worked in a race against the clock in the afternoon. The day ended with speed dating the peers they hadn’t had a good talk with yet. The mix of students from various schools enriched the day and guaranteed new connections within the Honours community.

Afgelopen vrijdag sloten de geselecteerde talentvolle havisten (havo 4) uit Noord-Nederland succesvol het Hanze Junior Honoursprogramma Ondernemerschap af! 🥳

Vier dagen proefden de havisten aan het (ondernemers)honoursonderwijs binnen de Hanzehogeschool. Onderwijs voor studenten die meer willen, kunnen én durven! 💡💪🏻

Mooi moment! Vorige week donderdag en vrijdag vond de allereerste ‘Hop On Hop Off’ van het landelijk Honours-netwerk plaats. 35 honoursstudenten en –docenten bezochten Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Deventer en Windesheim in Zwolle. Aan de hand van workshops kregen ze hier een sfeerimpressie van het honoursonderwijs. 💡

Volgend jaar zal de Hop On Hop Off plaatsvinden bij NHL Stenden en onze hogeschool. We kijken er naar uit! 🥳

Apart from the fun, social contacts, new insights and skills, you might win and get a boost of 500 euro to make your project come true.
