Ghosts and ghouls will gather at The Wolfhound on Saturday Oct. 26th! We’re open all day, the party will start at 21:00 and we’ll kick off with live music from The Fright Swipes at 22:00 for some terrifying tunes. Entry is free, so get that costume ready and join us! 🦇

Of course dogs are welcome at The Wolfhound! What’s in a name, right? But guide dogs are of course especially welcome!! Sadly, that isn’t the case in all public places apparently, so Drempelloos is putting in the work, handing out these stickers to bars & restaurants where these hardworking pooches are welcomed, and by extension thereof, their humans in need of their assistance as well. We hope to see you and your furry friend soon!

It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the 023Jazz Festival and we were delighted to have the wonderful Willem Abelen play with his FLUX project for the occasion. Thank you to the organisation of the festival, celebrating jazz in all its forms, to these amazing musicians, to all who came and enjoyed this intimate setting here in The Wolfhound Underground, and of course the the inimitable Mr. Bob Wiebes, the true puppet master behind Haarlem Jazz Underground 🎵

Get ready for a night of quality rock ‘n’ roll, starting with a hint of 70’s and ending on a bang with upbeat garage punk! The one and only Djonno will be curating ‘Live Sounds Underground’ every month for you here at The Wolfhound Underground, kicking off at the Haarlem Vinyl Festival with Glitz and BB & The Binkie Boys.
Entry is free, there’s draught bee downstairs and the tunes will be banging, so see you tonight!

We’re so proud to support Tadgh O’Connor, an up and coming MMA champion in the making, and brother of our assistant manager Ben. Another knock out performance Tadgh, literally! Lots of love and cheers from us here at The Wolfhound in Haarlem!

Have you tried our new Surf ‘n’ Turf Burger yet? A 200gr Black Angus beef burger topped with marinated giant gambas, served with streaky bacon and garlic mayo. Ow yeah.

Wolfhound Jazz Fest 2024, you were amazing!!! Three days of live jazz -actual jazz- in this wonderful intimate setting, while madness was raging outside. A massive thanks to all the wonderful artists who performed and made each night feel a little magical. And to all of you who came to listen, and those who joined in the jam session afterwards! And a very special thank you to the inimitable Mr. Bob Wiebes for organising all these gigs, for hosting them each night, and for giving a stellar performance himself, just to top it all off. And he does this every month!

We're so happy to announce the 2024 edition of the Wolfhound Jazz Festival. It has become tradition to organise our own thing during the big Haarlem Jazz fest, where we celebrate real jazz, performed live for you by some of the best artists our country has to offer.

MEANDER TRIO
AUGUST 15 21:00
Meander Trio is a new group consisting of Siebren Smink on guitar, Ketija Ringa - Karahona on flute and Līva Dumpe on vocals. Meander is the flowing effect of a river, slowly changing shape over time. This quality can be perceived in the soft music of this trio.

FENNE
AUGUST 15 22:30
In her music, singer Fenne Scholte combines jazz and influences from folk, classical music and pop. Her great sources of inspiration are Joni Mitchell, Jacob Collier and Becca Stevens. Last year, she released her single 'last night i dreamt about you'.

LUCAS SANTANA
AUGUST 16 21:00
Versatility, energy and musicality define this young Brazilian musician based in Amsterdam. He has shown a unique way to express himself through music, crossing over the Brazilian samba-jazz, Bossa Nova and Choro with Jazz.

AUGUST 15 22:30
JK3 is a relatively new guitar trio led by Jurriaan Kurpershoek. In his dynamic, narrative pieces, they look for freedom and spontaneity, and push each other to really make music together. No rehearsed solos or pre-programmed click tracks, but never knowing what to expect.

LAURA & STRINGS & STICKS
AUGUST 17 21:00
Traditionally, Laura Dooge visits our festival together with Gijs Idema and William Barrett, but this time they bring drummer Carlos Ayuso. They will perform a love-letter to classic show-tunes of way back when. It will be hard to sit still!

BOBBY & LUCY'S NIGHT OF DUETS
AUGUST 17 22:30
In the style of legendary duos such as Ella & Louis, the final evening of the festival will kick off with the most beautiful duets ever written. Dancing cheek to cheek accompanied by a band featuring the absolute peak of the Dutch jazz scene, singer Lucy van Dongen (Malu) and Haarlem's own singer Bob Wiebes will sing music to dance to...and more!

AFTERWARDS ALL-STAR JAM SESSION!! BRING YOUR INSTRUMENTS!

Three brilliant bands tonight, one will walk away with 4K and you can help them get it.

Warm weather, cold beer… Hello weekend! 😎

Sundown is at 21:22 today, so if you’re wondering what to do when it gets a bit too chilly out on that terrace, we got you covered! Haarlem Jazz Underground presents the fantastic Martí Javila quartet ft. Virginia MacDonald from 10 pm, followed by an open jazz jam session at 11, right here at The Wolfhound Underground. Free entrance for all, so see you tonight!

Well, that was an awesome Thursday! We started the day off with live poetry as part of local poetry festival De Haarlemse Dichtlijn and ended it with the semi finals of the Battle Of The Bands, with Fleebag and The Albert Mooneys! From listening intently to singing along at the top of your lungs, great stuff

This Thursday -Ascension Thursday- we open at 12:00 to welcome the poets taking part in De Haarlemse Dichtlijn!
As part of this local poetry festival, The Wolfhound Underground will form the stage for 3 rounds of Dutch poetry and spoken word artists, starting at 13:15.
Entrance is free, so come join us!

We had a little pilsner workshop to keep things fresh and make sure we keep serving you the best pint!

Tonight! Haarlem's longest continuously running jazz session Haarlem Jazz Underground is proud to present the Dzhabbar / Levin / Köhl Trio to The Wolfhound Underground.
