This bird's-eye plan of Trondheim illustrates the attack on the city during the Dano-Swedish War. The siege began on September 28, 1658 with Dano-Norwegian forces attempting to overtake Trondheim from the Swedes. Finally on December 11 the Swedes were forced to surrender and vacate the city. The Dano-Norwegian ships in the harbor are depicted bombarding the town and the surrounding countryside is finely engraved to give a three-dimensional perspective.

Antique print titled 'Hydria'. Colour-printed large lithograph by Ernst Wasmuth depicting a Greek hydria (water jar). A is a type of water-carrying vessel in the metalwork and pottery of Ancient Greece. The hydria has three handles. Two horizontal handles on either side of the body of the pot were used for lifting and carrying the pot. The third handle, a vertical one, located in the center of the other two handles, was used when pouring water. If the third handle is missing, the type is called a kalpis. This water vessel can be found in both red- and black-figure technique. This print originates from 'Griechische Keramik' by A. Genick. Albert Genick, an architect by training, was one of the leading German scholars of Greek vases at the end of the 19th century. The large chromolithographic plates in his study, are some of the most handsome images of Greek Vases ever printed.
