Our Gelsenkirchen refinery in Germany has successfully completed its turnaround 🏭

All systems at the Horst refinery site were shut down to undergo thorough testing, with over 10,500 components reviewed ✅

Since 1929, the Gelsenkirchen refinery has been providing mobility and heat and producing petrochemical raw materials for everyday products.

The 2023 F1 season may be over, but our experts are still busy in the lab. 🏎️🏁🧪

F1 requires all fuel to be 100% * by 2026, and we're in action, working with BWT Alpine F1 Team to develop and test new fuel formulations.

Progress update from our planned integrated hub in Western Australia. 💪💚🇦🇺

We're transforming our former Kwinana oil refinery and H2Kwinana, our project at the site, has secured government support and is advancing to front-end engineering and design!

We aim to install 100MW of electrolyser capacity fuelled by reclaimed water energy. The green hydrogen produced could then be used to decarbonize the bio-refinery we’re planning and other industrial facilities in the area.

Action update: The first transatlantic flight fuelled on 100% sustainable aviation fuel ( ) by a commercial airline has taken off! 🙌🛫

While today we keep people and goods moving worldwide with conventional jet fuel, we're working to scale up our SAF business, and this is just the next stop on our journey.

We're investing in our & power, and businesses to help deliver the lower carbon energy the world needs.

From building massive offshore wind farms in the North Sea to installing 157,000 solar panels in Ohio – we’re putting plans into action today to deliver low carbon energy when they are operational.

And – at the same time – we continue to invest in our core business – like Train 3 in Tangguh and Seagull in the North Sea. That way we keep energy flowing where it's needed today.

Today our head of gas & low carbon energy, Anja, met with the President of Indonesia to officially inaugurate the Tangguh Expansion Project's new production unit, Train 3. Check out its development over the last six and a half years. 📝🏗️✅

This liquefied natural gas ( ) plant in Papua Barat province, Indonesia, already produced about 20% of the country's . The expansion will ultimately increase the facility's total LNG production capacity by approximately 50% to 11.4 million tonnes a year.

We’ve joined forces with these aviation heavyweights to enable the world’s first-ever transatlantic flight on 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) by a commercial airline!

The flight is scheduled for takeoff on Tuesday 28 November – watch this space for updates! 🙌🛫

Trading blades 🔄. 40 turbines at our Fowler Ridge 1 farm in Indiana, US, are getting an upgrade to run more efficiently.

The revamp will mean the turbines can generate 40% more energy from – enough to potentially power up to 27,000 homes. And when the old blades come down, they don’t just go to landfill - we have plans for them to be ground up and recycled in materials like concrete.

It's one more way we’re turning plans into action – continuing to supply the energy that the world needs today while building the energy system of the future.

One of BP Pulse's fastest and largest charging hubs is in Kettering, UK. It can charge up to 20 cars simultaneously at 150kW, allowing each to gain approximately 100 miles of range in around 15 minutes, depending on the vehicle.

Along with Park Lane in London, Gatwick Airport, and the NEC in Birmingham, our UK Gigahub™ portfolio is growing! We have plans to open hundreds of charging hubs around the UK by the end of 2030.

Our support for trans people goes beyond but it does provide a moment to recognise the work of our network, who volunteer their time to improve the experiences of our LGBTQ+ people. Their contributions are invaluable - some highlights:

🚀 A pilot talent attraction campaign targeted towards trans people in Spain.
🗒️ A guidance document for employees and line managers on trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming inclusion.
💝 ‘Safe Space’ workshops - providing information and resources for allies on how to support LGBTQ+ colleagues.

This year, high-tech LiDAR (light detection and ranging) buoys have been scouting the Irish Sea, measuring conditions like speed, wave height and ocean currents.

They're helping us to determine the design of our new projects with EnBW, Morgan and Mona, which will allow us to deliver 3GW of electricity capacity – enough to power the equivalent of around 3 million homes.

We're buzzing to announce an investment of $100m into Tesla ultra-fast chargers in the US. ⚡🚘🇺🇸

We'll install and operate them across our pulse network – marking a first for the industry – and roll them out across key bp, Thorntons, TravelCenters of America and ampm sites.

This deal is another way we're in action, helping us to deliver our aim to roll out more than 100,000 charge points globally by 2030.

Expansion of our Tangguh liquified natural gas (LNG) development in Indonesia is complete, marked by the start-up of production and the first shipment from our new Train 3 facility. 💪🇮🇩

Train 3 will increase Tangguh's total LNG production by up to 50%. Overall, produced from Tangguh will account for more than a third of Indonesia's total production.

We've been successful in our bids for two sites with a potential generating capacity of 4GW. This brings our total net offshore wind pipeline to about 9.2GW and marks our entry into offshore wind in continental Europe.

These build on our existing portfolio in Germany, which includes two refineries, Aral AG – the country's leading retail network, and our charging business, Aral pulse.
