It was my honour, that two weeks ago my training was one of the treats for the team of Nordconn International on their team building weekend.

Lerend koken?! 👩🏼‍🍳 Het kan! 👌🏼⁠
Het is geen geheim dat het leven behoorlijk druk kan zijn, vooral als je naast je werk en dagelijkse taken ook nog kind(eren) hebt...! 🥵⁠

Ik vind het sowieso leuk om mezelf voortdurend te ontwikkelen en nieuwe dingen te leren. Ik koop nogal wat boeken, maar in de afgelopen jaren heb ik gemerkt dat ik meer boeken koop dan dat ik ze lees 🫣 🫢(plead guilty).⁠
Onlangs heb ik wel geprobeerd om mijn gewoonte van 's avonds voor slapen op mijn telefoon te scrollen te vervangen door lezen. Maar toen ontdekte ik ook ! (Nogmaals bedankt voor de tip Biezepol 😉)⁠

Nu kan ik naast mijn dagelijkse huishoudelijke taken luisteren naar boeken die ik graag wilde lezen.⁠
Soep is klaar, boek is uit! 💪🏼 😀 🍲⁠

When motivation needs to be improved in a team or organisation, it is important to first think carefully about what type of performance is desired. If the work is complex and high-quality performance is desired, it is better to stimulate 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. If the work is relatively simple and quantitatively high performance is desired, it is better to stimulate 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Using bonuses tied to performance can help with that for example.

☝🏼 When it comes to motivation from within, it's about creating the right environment. People feel intrinsically motivated when their personal needs are met. What is YOUR best practice to train your brain?

Once, I had a conversation with someone about the power of questions. He told me that a friend of his uses a technique to sweep ladies off their feet. 😏

He takes them out on a date (yes, sorry, for this first step, I have no tips 🙃). During the date, he consciously refrains from talking much and instead keeps asking the ladies questions. So, throughout the evening, the spotlight is on the woman, and the conversation topics are always of her choosing. She feels heard, cared for, and simply has a great time. The guy's task is merely to wait and listen.

Almost every time, at the end of the date, the lady says, "Thank you! I had such a great time! 🥹 It was a fantastic date!"

Why did I tell this story? Well, because your goal isn't to get the client out of their underwear.. But, giving them the spotlight is something that is both appreciated and pleasant to receive! Clients want to be seen and heard. Allowing them to talk is not only a way to avoid being pushy but also to develop trust, get to understand their needs and create a great client experience.

Wie ben ik?

Leer mij kennen!

In 2012 ben ik in direct sales beland. Ik heb gewerkt bij het grootste sector-onafhankelijke direct sales bedrijf van Hongarije. Door de jaren heen heb ik mijn werkzaamheden uitgebreid met leidinggevende rollen op verschillende niveaus. Met mijn sales en leiderschapsprestaties heb ik verschillenden prijzen en erkenningen gewonnen. Zo was ik jarenlang in de top 3 van beste verkopers binnen het bedrijf. Daarnaast heb ik mijn team begeleid en andere leiders getraind waarmee we ook vele nominaties en erkenningen elk jaar hebben gekregen. Het was mij al snel duidelijk dat verkoop, leiderschap en bedrijfscultuur onderwerpen zijn waar mijn interesse ligt en die ik met passie kan uitvoeren.
Daarnaast heb ik ook nog de HBO opleiding Management en Organisatiepsychologie gevolgd en (bijscholing)cursussen gevolgd voor onder andere Coaching, Leiderschap, Persoonlijke groei, Mindset, LEAN management en DISC en Drijfveren. Zo ben ik sinds enkele jaren ook een gecertificeerde DISC en Drijfveren trainer. In de afgelopen meer dan 10 jaar heb ik als trainer, adviseur en verkoper in diverse sectoren gewerkt zoals telecommunicatie, toerisme, financiële sector, automotive en productiewerk. Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat wanneer iemand leert te communiceren en de achterliggende psychologie begrijpt dat diegene onafhankelijk van het product of de dienst deze succesvol weet te verkopen, zowel kwantitatief als kwalitatief.
Sinds februari 2021 ben ik mijn droom gaan realiseren, in ben als zelfstandige aan de slag gegaan. Mijn expertise is B2C sales, direct sales, personal sales, motiverend leidinggeven en een gezonde en inspirerende werkomgeving creëren.

This month is all about Emotional Intelligence (EQ), and it's time to clear up some common misconceptions. EQ isn't about being sentimental, overly expressive, or controlled by your emotions. Let's explore the facts about EQ.

💣 𝘔𝘺𝘵𝘩 #1: 𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘌𝘘 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭
Reality: Emotional Intelligence is not about being a sentimentalist. It's about understanding and managing emotions effectively. People with high EQ can differentiate between various emotions and respond appropriately. They are in touch with their feelings, but they don't let sentimentality cloud their judgment.

Reality: Expressing emotions is a part of EQ, but it doesn't mean wearing your heart on your sleeve 24/7. Emotionally intelligent individuals choose when and how to express their feelings. They understand the importance of appropriate timing and setting for emotional expression.

💣𝘔𝘺𝘵𝘩 #3: 𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘌𝘘 𝘌𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘉𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘌𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴
Reality: Quite the opposite! EQ empowers you to control your emotions rather than being controlled by them. It's about recognizing your emotions, understanding their impact, and making conscious decisions on how to respond. Emotionally intelligent individuals have a greater ability to stay calm and composed under pressure.

Emotional Intelligence is a powerful skill that goes beyond sentimentality, constant emotional expression, or being controlled by your feelings. It's about self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and effective relationship management.

I find really inspiring how much a human can achieve purely from willpower. I feel kind of pumped up when I watch a movie based on a true story where someone do something outstanding! I loved these films for example:

It's funny that when I saw this meme, it triggered two associations for me.
I think it might be an instinctual reaction and obvious that we want to make a good impression (in an interview), even the best! Then, of course, in practice, we find out where there was more smoke than fire. 🚒 🔥 On the other hand, I thought about the potential, how far someone can go and how much they can leverage in the job market. How much experience they can gain, how much they can learn from a good mentor, and how much they can develop professionally and personally in a good work environment! 🌱
