AZ Sint-Maarten, a Belgian hospital, is known for its innovation in the use of cleaning products that are effective, safe, and long-lasting.

In 2019, the hospital became the first to adopt probiotic cleaning methods. Recently, the hospital has also begun testing Greenspeed synbiotics, a combination of probiotics and prebiotics, in order to address the issue of biofilm in toilets and sinks.

The hospital staff is positive about the results of the test phase and plans to continue rolling out Synbio swan throughout the hospital.

We take action for the UN Sustainable Development Goals because Greenspeed aims to contribute to have a positive impact on human health, on the environment and society as a whole. That's why we will adjust our activities and targets to the SDGs, developed by the United Nations, to improve on different levels. And we are happy to set at least 10 goals that have been subdivided into 5 main themes: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership. For example, we will cooperate with charities and establish a travel policy to reduce CO2 emissions.

Because of the crisis people started cleaning more to keep bacteria away and the use of disinfectants and household chemical products has therefore skyrocketed. Figures reveal that there was an increase in the number of calls to poison control centers in Belgium and the U.S because of accidents with chemical cleaning products.

🌱To put health and safety first our disinfectant Lacto Des was developed from plant-based ingredients and contains no chlorine, alcohol or dangerous VOCs. Lacto Des is without hazard symbols and so safe to use.
