- Small Matcha lecture: the host will introduce us the history of matcha, the culture background of matcha ceremony, and knowledge of matcha grades.
- Matcha making presentation: the host will present different types of matcha, including top grade matcha from Fuji Mountain area. He will show the techniques of making traditional matcha tea and ice matcha.
- Whisk your own matcha: everyone can try to whisk your own matcha tea! With your matcha, you will get a piece of our premium sweets:)
- Q&A: Do you have any questions about Matcha or Japanese tea? Feel free to ask in our Q&A part at the end of the workshop!
- Enjoy our special tea & Matcha sweets.

Autumn Edition Wagashi workshop with Hans Pillen who is very experienced with Japanese crafts.
- Small Wagashi lecture: the host will introduce us to the culture background of Wagashi and the way he makes Nerikiri and Koshian. (Nerikiri is made from butter bean paste, sugar, rice flour and water. When the Nerikiri is ready it can be coloured. Inside the Wagashi we will put Koshian. This is made from red Azuki beans paste and sugar. )
- Make your own Wagashi: you mold the sweet bean paste Nerikiri and Koshian into art. Afterwards everyone can take the three types of seasonal Wagashi home or enjoy it with a bowl of ceremonial matcha at Matcha Next Door.
