Now that the bar has been closed for summer, let’s look back to better times!! In March we organized our second Flügel Fiësta of the year!

During the academic year 2023-2024, Café In de Smitse made every effort to raise money for Meedoen in Rotterdam 💚
This organisation helps children to participate in everyday activities. They for example supply swimming lessons, laptops and bikes.

In de Smitse organised beer bingos where guests could by a card for €1,50. Afterwards, we doubled the amount for donation! We also organised an auction in December.

All together we raised an amazing amount of money €1851,- for Meedoen in Rotterdam! We are very happy to contribute to such an amazing organisation!

Unfortunately, we are now closed for the summer 😔, but we had an amazing year with all our wonderful guests! Thank you for the incredible memories. We can’t wait to welcome you back on September 2nd when we reopen! 💛

When you say Smitse, you say beer. And when you say beer, you say beer cantus! 🍻

In May our Activities Committee organized a beer cantus. It was a night long of singing and laughter. See you next year?

Friday the 5th of July was already our last day of opening of the academic year... So ofcourse we had to go out with a bang! 💥

Together with Bozu we organized our closing party. Everyone got to enjoy different alcoholic iced teas while vibing to some amazing house music by our dj! In the evening it was time for some karaoke. 🎤

HEARTBEAT FESTIVAL 2024🎪

In June the Heartbeat Festival took place on the campus. During the festival, we were present with a Rocketshot shots bar. Afterwards, we organized an afterparty in our bar. The day was a great success and we really enjoyed your energy!
