The Faculty Council welcomes ideas, feedback, requests, concerns, complaints, and questions from those we represent: from student and staff members of ESHCC. You may contact the Council to, for example:
- inquire about the Faculty’s existing or new norms and policies;
- suggest issues that the Council should include in its agenda;
- comment on the advice that the Council is working on

Dear ESHCC community,
As you might know, elections will be held to select student- and staff representatives of the University Council, Faculty Councils and Service Councils ABD, PRO and UB.
The importance of these representative bodies is huge. The councils have right of consent and advisory right on several subjects such as education, student provisions, tuition fees, budget- and reorganisation plans, and more 😱🤓.
If you are a member of the and you would like to become part of the next ESHCC Faculty Council to represent the voices of and , you can submit your candidacy from until 9 May 2022 at 5pm 📧.

“I came to EUR as a bachelor exchange student in 2019, whereafter I followed the master in Arts, Culture and Society. Now I am a PhD candidate, and in my research, I am looking at sustainability within the classical music sector.”
Goals for the FC:
"I hope to be able to contribute to making ESHCC even more sustainable. I want to look at diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, to maybe improve this, while considering the perspectives and needs of minority groups more. Student and staff wellbeing are also important to me."
Activities:
The topics of my research are also among my personal interests, as well as literature, travelling and sports. I find it inspiring to get my perspective widened by getting acquainted with new cultures and languages."

About: “I am a lecturer in media and communication at ESHCC and I joined the FC in 2021. When I am not teaching, I do research on digital media and religion, and I am also interested in gender, migration, online hate speech, and politics.”
Goals for the FC: “I joined the FC because I would like to make sure everybody at ESHCC is valued for their merits and can develop their talents. I am specifically interested in ending the casualization of temporary contracts and guaranteeing an inclusive, diverse, and safe environment for staff members and students.”
Activities: “In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing novels, and dancing. In non-pandemic times I enjoy travelling and learning new languages.”
