Visiting finished projects. This corner villa in Amsterdam North Entreegebied is a design game with the very low cost requirements and the very ambitious interior wishes. The facade cladding is pure grey with no coating and this pattern is the trace made by the rain and wind. A brutalistic cube outside and a playful split levels active home inside. Baltimore+Rotterdam: Designing Cities - Baltimore Sister Cities A webinar series all about designing cities — spanning Baltimore and Rotterdam! Architects, urban designers, and researchers from Baltimore and Rotterdam meet in 4 round table discussions facilitated by international moderators. Coordinated by Cristina Murphy (MSU SA+P, Virginia Tech WAAC).

The design of plot 10-11 on Centrumeiland began with a proposal with brutalistic reference and an intentional twist on the bay window of the top floors: a missing corner. We still love these initial renders with concrete facade and a discord of harmony, although it was rejected. The next proposal was enthousiastically taken by clients, municipality and various commitees. After multiple difficult milestones, it is now built almost identical as designed. Very proud of the support of our clients, Wim Top and the municipality of Amsterdam. It has been a great process and we hope there will be great family homes!

Parnassia location Amsterdam. This is how the design was elaborated. The clients wanted our older "ONEWALL House" design but then with a brick facade. Looking forward to start building!

nr02, This was the second version for location Parnassia, with bigger windows. Also not accepted because of the wooden cladding and concrete.

Approaching the end of the year, we are skimming through the bookshelfs of unrealised projects to honor them and place them into light. We love every design and it is hard to see it shelved, for reasons depending on the specific project. and nr 01: Parnassia location, Amsterdam. A small family row house. This facade sketch did not make it to the second round. The building manager wanted much bigger windows. We absolutely love its clarity, friskiness and gaiety, though. And we miss working on it, it would have inspired for such crispy details!
