Today Natasha from stopped by to drop off a couple example pieces for her upcoming Oya crochet workshop.

Her crochet workshop is her interpretation of the Turkish Oya crochet. The history of this decorative edging is also known as “Turkish lace” and is thought to date back to the 8th century B.C. in Anatolia. Traditionally, Anatolian women used oya edgings to decorate their headdresses and scarves, under and outer garments, edges of towels, and napkins, and today they are also popular as jewellery.

In this class you will get started on creating your own jewelry, and soon you will be crocheting little bracelets and necklaces for everyone!

Pauline is wearing a necklaces made with these techniques and it is just too beautiful! We of course wanted to keep the entire bag for ourselves, so we reckon we might join this class ourselves as well, it seems like so much fun!

The workshop is planned for Saturday 20 April, signing up can be done on our website!

We are so super excited that she’s coming to teach 2 new half day classes on Saturday 27th of January. Kristin has been designing and teaching for more than 25 years and it is truly inspiring to watch her teach with so much passion!

Kristin has a 4h class about the Nordfjord-Kofte, the incredibly beautiful cardigan you see here, and a 4h class where you can design your own Shelby mitten!

It has been a week since Josje had a visit from Sinterklaas at school. And how wonderful is their tradition that parents make the presents at school. For the second grade the gift was a marble bag.

And as every year, Sint’s helper has been busy for days, to create something special. This is truly a great project to stretch your imagination and creativity, working on learning new skills or trying new techniques. It was a first for felting on linen fabric. Not sure if it was gonna work, but it did!

And finally, the name on the back is her own handwriting. Which is such a fun thing to incorporate, did it a few years ago as well and so lovely to see her growth in small details like this!

Last Saturday was Sara’s last day this year, and if you’ve seen her lately, you can kinda figure what her leave is all about 😉

Ever so gorgeous are on its way to us from Austria. These are dyed by Sue and are everything that we could wish for when it comes to hand dyed yarn….

We will keep you posted, and as it is a small collection dyed for us, make sure to sn**ch one up as you can, as there is a high probability we will keep them al to ourselves.

We are so pleased with our store sample of the My Comfy Poncho, made in Snefnug. This super easy knit is a pattern from . We love the dramatic sleeves, giving it its poncho look, but it wears like a comfortable baggy oversized sweater. Perfect to pair with everything 😊

And with a fresh restock of Snefnug, there’s enough colours to choose from!

Soooo… do you remember that mystery parcel we received a while ago?

Someone has sent us a parcel with this GORGEOUS Little Garden cardigan. It had no name, no note, no return address, nor a track and trace with the senders details. We had no idea why or who had sent this precious gift to us. And we think, it’s even made with one of our favorite (retired) yarns: !

So as good yarn detectives, we’ve asked knitters who we thought might’ve sent it to us, posted about the mystery on social media, texted people…. but nothing. We decided to carefully wrap it up, and store it back in the box until we figured out who sent it to us and with what reason.

UNTIL TODAY. It was cold, and Eloïse decided that it was a shame to have this beautiful piece lying around, being stuffed away in a box. So whoever gifted this to us: THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts 🫶🏽

We will cherish and love it for many years to come. And yes we will wear it to bits (and mend it again, of course)!
