With a purpose-built installation on the roof of hotel NH Atlantic, Bruno van den Elshout photographed the North Sea horizon every hour throughout 2012. He collected 8785 images, of always the same view of always the same boundless distance. An invitation to go on an adventure: to look beyond everything you already knew and knew. Set of cards of 14.

In Marie Jose's beautiful flat overlooking the sea, we selected the furniture together with the resident. This included this Marenco Sofa, a classic from 1970.Interior design
Behind our counter hangs Kvadrat's Untitled curtain fabric by Alain Biltereyst. This fabric is a made from different fabrics: with math transparent recycled spun yarns, dense to semi-transparent elements. This allows light through, but does not really show the boxes behind the curtain;)The curtain feels like cotton and offers the geometric shapes of the Untitled collection on the largest scale.

These tea towels & kitchen towels are made from leftovers from the textile industry. When factories dye yarns to weave textiles, they make some extra - just in case - but these often remain unused. Foekje Fleur used these leftovers for her Odds & Ends textiles, creating unexpected colour combinations. Always in series with different colour combinations.
The Tube Lamps are made from broken fluorescent tubes, which have since lost their original function and are now used as a translucent surface with LED tubes behind them providing illumination. The manufacturer's logos are still visible, referring to their industrial past. The old TLs are held together with laser-cut frames made of acrylic, aluminium or stainless steel.

The world of Bau Winkel, exhibition still on show tm 31 August. Over 60 vehicles make up a beautiful installation in the exhibition area of our shop. Two more weeks to come and see with what care and imagination the cars, trucks, motorbikes, army vehicles and much more were designed and made.

When designer Floris Hovers bathed his children when they were young, empty shampoo bottles were the most favourite toys. It gets even more fun when you give the bottles a new life turning them into a sailboat.

The Eiermann Table in our shop is full of small items. Still the characterful lines of this 1950s design classic continue to do their job.Talking about strong lines, what do you think of the Re-Work Stool by Our Society?

Rene knip has the sculptures 2D laser-cut. In his workshop, he bends them to make them 3-dimensional and sprays the enamelled versions in different colours. A lot of handwork. And that suits him well: he likes to stay involved in the final product himself. You can see this refinement in all his work.We put dried flowers in the vases, but of course real flowers can also be used.

Our muuto brand store features a variety of sofas. including the In Situ sofa, in the Clay fabric from Kvadrat. This beautiful fabric is a mostly made from linen. We love green, so like many in our shop, this sofa is also green.

Normally, veneer is used to hide unsightly material. That can be done differently, thought Jeroen wall. He left out the ugly material and managed to achieve enough strength with a frame and layers of residual veneer without sticking it to an underlay.

Since the expansion of our shop, we have a true exhibition space. Not big, but nice. Have you seen the first exhibition yet? Bau Winkel is displaying its collection of more than 60 wooden vehicles there. All handmade in an edition of 1 piece.

More than 40 years old and still relevant! The family-owned Montana Furniture has provided generations with personalized storage solutions, since 1982. Bau Winkel has now created an impressive collection of wooden cars, truck and other scale vehicles. These can now be seen in the exhibition in our shop: The World of Bau Winkel. The cars are not for sale; Bau likes to keep the collection together. Now he has designed a series of six smaller cars and a caravan to go with them, which are for sale. This time not made of wood but 3D printed from bioplastic made from sugar cane and elephant grass. The mudguards of some of the cars are interchangeable, allowing you to create your own model. For the duration of the exhibition at a 10% discount. The 3d printed cars are displayed at Museum Shelves by String Furniture

Phases Vases by Jeroen WandIn making these vases, two phases of the same material react to each other in a biochemical battle. The basic shape of these vases is based on one mould and is first cast and dried. It is then immersed in newly mixed plaster. During immersion, the newly mixed and still liquid plaster sticks to the basic form.By combining control and allowing the plaster to react freely, the material forms its own unique shell. Here, the plaster is not applied as a secondary material, but shown in its autonomous qualities and possibilities.
Multiple immersions in different mixtures of liquid plaster cover the vessel with several unique layers. The inner form retains its clean design, while the outside becomes rough and irregular.

The Sting Shelving systemIn 1949, most Swedish homes were not really equipped with bookshelves. Bonnier's public library realised this was one reason why book sales were not going up and announced a design competition. The shelf had to be affordable, easy to ship and equally easy to assemble. Nisse and Kajsa Strinning designed the String system and won the competition with it.
today, endless variations are possible in colour, material and uses. Our new model in the shop uses two materials: walnut and oak.

The Treste table at home pairs perfectly with the chairs called “the Chair” by Studio Sweden. The chairs are an heirloom. Year unknown, but the manual is still there: flatpacked from a time when that was not so obvious probably. The floor dates from 1958, the year the apartment was completed.
The Trestle Table by David Derksen for Vij5 consists of two lightweight trestles with a layer of non-slip cork and a sturdy top. The top layer of the top is made of ‘Forbo Deskstop’, a natural material of what only gets more beautiful over time. Determine the position of the trestles yourself and thus the look of the table. Available in many colours, made in The Netherlands.

Our shop garden is full of outdoor furniture. Emu’s Star range, shown in green in this picture is available in 18 colours and is almost to classic. The yellow Aligned set by Maarten Baas looks like it was hand sketched, typical of more of this designer’s work. This showroom set is available on our website at a 40% discount!
The Top Lamps are an interpretation of the archetypal cone-shaped pendant lamp, but with modern Led technology. The Cover Chairs are based on the maximum bending capacity of plywood. The 70/70 Table gets its name from its two supports measuring 70 by 70 cm.
Besides these designs by Danish Muuto, works by Dutch individual artists has been added. Like the Candle Vase by Rene Knip consists of a number of different branches, allowing you to determine the shape yourself. For the Transfers, Arnoud Dijkstra (Buitenplek Oost) uses carbon paper to transfer the images he wants to use to paper.
We have a new outdoor brand: Grythyttan. A Swedish brand with a rich history... with furniture made of oak or teak and galvanised steel. So extremely strong, made for the inclement Swedish climate. Come and try the Sofa5, for example... the looooong bench in front of our shop. Or in the shop garden, the Hightech series is displayed.

A stuntman on a leg on a truck. Not entirely logical perhaps... or does it? Saturday 1 June at 4pm, Bau Winkel will tell all about it in his exhibition at Edwin Pelser. The World of Bau Winkel, on view until 31 July in our exhibition space.
A cabinet available in 77 colours! it gave us choice stress. In the end, we chose this 'machine green', among others. Besides the bright blue cabinet not shown in this picture. We use both to display accessoires in our new shop

In our new shop, there is again more space for work straight from the designer's studio. Like Jeroen Wand's Re-Veneer series and the Tube Lamp by Juno Brown in this picture. We have also added new brands such as Gelderland. Who take sustainability as an important starting point with reupholstery programmes and refurbishing.
Our Sample LibraryFinally a place in the shop where we can properly display samples. In this cabinet you will find curtain samples and back samples. The curtain samples have another place. We have samples from Kvadrat, De Ploeg, Maharam and Woodnotes, among others.
Pigeon Service is part of a permanent installation by Christien Meindertsma for the Texture Flax Museum (Kortrijk, BE). It involves 200 pigeons scattered throughout the building. The inspiration came from the spy pigeons locked up in the Linen Thread Company building, which is now the Texture Museum, during the First World War. The pigeons were made with 100% flax. Linen sourced from five different flax weavers in Belgium. The doves are handmade and are stuffed with flax. These coloured editions are made from Kvadrat's Canvas fabric. Thomas Eyck took care of the production and distribution of the doves. Sadly, the symphatic Thomas passed away last year. Thomas' collection fortunately lived on for a while, but it stops for good this month. So these are the last pigeons...

Three classics to be seen in this picture. The 'Lattenbank' (1960) by Martin Visser , the Circle Lamp (1968) by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar and the Marenco Sofa (1970) by Mario Marenco. Perhaps the recently designed March Rug by Muller van Severen will become a new classic, as will the Presley Candleholder by Atelier Toit.

A comfortable bench, even without cushions, in our shop garden. It is the unusual angle of the bench's seat and back that actually makes a seemingly rough-looking bench comfortable and relaxing to sit in. With the Patio Bench, designer Bertjan Pot wanted to offer comfort with few resources. 'The challenge was to make very comfortable furniture without adding soft materials.' The seating angles of the Patio Bench are very precisely adjusted to follow the exact shape of the body to provide comfort without the need for cushions.
