Op 17 oktober 2024 hebben we bij Hart Beach een bijzondere avond beleefd, volledig in het teken van surfen en de Scheveningse gemeenschap. Tijdens dit evenement werd het prachtige standbeeld De Fietsende Surfer, gecreëerd door de talentvolle kunstenaar Kiek Bangert, onthuld. Dit bronzen kunstwerk symboliseert de passie en toewijding van onze surf community en markeert een belangrijk moment voor de Scheveningse surfcultuur.

Naast de onthulling genoten we van twee inspirerende documentaires over de lokale surfers en Scheveningen zelf. De avond werd afgesloten met een oproep van Muzee aan de surf community om hun verhalen en spullen te delen voor een nieuwe expositie over surfen in Scheveningen.

Met speciale dank aan Kiek Bangert, Tamara Peris, Romke en Paul Schuitema, Chris Pronk, Nora van Egmond, Rutger de Ridder, het events-team en alle sprekers van de avond. Dankzij jullie bijdrage werd dit evenement een groot succes!

🏄‍♂️ Onthulling van het Standbeeld: De Fietsende Surfer
We beginnen de avond met de officiële onthulling van het permanente standbeeld van "De Fietsende Surfer" op de boulevard—een symbool van Scheveningen’s surfcultuur.

🎥 Surfdocumentaires onder de Sterren
We vertonen twee toffe surfdocu’s: één gemaakt door een Scheveningse surfer (Just Go Fu***ng Surfing), en een tweede film over onze eigen Scheveningse surfers. De vertoningen zijn op het strand of in de skatebowl voor een ultieme surfervaring!

🌊 Muzee’s Plannen voor een Permanente Surf-expo
We introduceren ook Muzee’s plannen voor een permanente surfexpositie, waarbij jouw input als community meer dan welkom is. Kom vroeg voor een portie kibbeling (lekker Schevenings!) of iets anders van ons menu en blijf hangen voor een onvergetelijke Scheveningse avond!

Cosy Autumn vibes at Hart Beach – THE place to be all year round

As the weather cools down, the vibes at Hart Beach only get better. Who sais the beach is just for summer? ;-) With epic autumn waves, it’s the perfect time for surfers to catch some of the best waves of the year. And yes, we’re still offering surf lessons every day of the week - we like to encourage aspiring surfers to enjoy the Autumn weather to the fullest! All levels are welcome.

When you're ready to warm up, step inside and relax by one of our fireplaces.

We have created a warm and welcoming spot to enjoy the beauty of Scheveningen year-round. Come for drinks, dinner, a surf, skate session, relaxing day on the beach, shopping new gear or just a quick chat. We're always here for you! 🤙

After a summer season full of cool events, surf camps, late skate sessions by the bowl and lots of fun people, the Hart Beach crew is taking a night off to party together and recharge for an epic winter season at the beach!

Everyone is welcome again the next day the 24th of September, from 8:00 in the morning, as always

Another week, another forecast! Hopefully you are all well rested from last week's big clean waves and are ready to get back to it! We are expecting some small waves and nice temperatures this week. Come and book a lesson!⁠

Wednesday: Waves are on the smaller side, with a NNE wave direction that might make things a bit tricky. While it’s not the best day for epic rides, it’s a good chance to work on your technique and get some practice in. 🎯 Use the smaller conditions to focus on the basics and refine your skills. ⁠

These coming days, let’s pray for the swell to come around from NNE direction to bring in some waves. Expecting it to do so;⁠

Thursday: The swell's dropping but no worries. Waves are sticking around 0.7-0.8 meters with winds shifting more North. Could get a bit bumpy, but hey, it's all about the stoke! Grab your bigger board and make the most of those shorter wave periods. 🌊🏄⁠

Friday: It’s a mixed bag, folks! Winds are staying mellow, with playful waves. Winds will be from the NNE, bringing some cross-shore vibes. Time to show off! Let's make the most of it before the weekend calms things down. ⁠

Saturday: A chilled-out day with light winds and smaller waves around 0.6 meters dropping to 0.3 meters, it's the perfect day for the beginners to get some fun practice in. Easy-peasy, glassy vibes all day long. 🌊✨ Don’t forget: SUMMER TEMPERATURES! Waves or no waves, surely a beach day!⁠

Sunday: It's looking pretty flat out there, but you know what that means... time to break out the SUP’s and have a party wave session! Whether you're catching ripples or just soaking up the sun, it's all about the good vibes. 🏖️ Come and rent a paddle board for a Sunday morning cruise. ⁠

It’s your local forecast again! As the summer holidays come to an end, we know it’s tough getting back into the swing of things. But who says you can’t keep the summer vibes rolling a little longer? 🏄‍♂️ Whether you're playing hooky or squeezing in a quick session before or after work, the waves at Scheveningen this week are here to help you pretend that endless summer is still here. So, dust off your board and head to the beach—you’ve earned it! 💪

Tuesday: Start your week with gentle, warm winds from the southwest and a slight swell. A few refreshing raindrops might cool you off from the weekend heat. It’s an excellent day for a relaxed paddle session. Waves will be small, perfect for easing back into the water.

Wednesday: The swell picks up a bit today, offering playful sets, especially as the tide rises in the late afternoon. 🌊 Morning brings light winds that’ll increase slightly by the afternoon, adding a bit more fun to the waves. With temperatures around 18-19°C and partly cloudy skies, it’s a comfortable day to enjoy the surf. Don’t forget your sunscreen! ☀️

Thursday: If you’re up for a bit more action, Thursday is your day! The morning will bring some clean waves, perfect for an early session. As the northern wind picks up throughout the day, conditions will become choppier, but it's still a great opportunity for surfers of all levels to sharpen their skills. Grab your gear and get out there! 🤙

Friday: Friday sees stronger northerly winds, with gusts reaching up to 20 knots. The swell will continue to grow, with wave heights around 1.5 meters. However, the choppy conditions might make it challenging for less experienced surfers. Temperatures start to rise again today so come have a drink on our terrace afterwards!

Saturday: The swell will start to slightly decrease again, with waves reaching up to 0.9 meters with periods of 6 seconds. Winds will calm down from the northeast creating clean conditions! Looking forward to seeing you all in the water. 🌊

Sunday: Finish off the week with calmer conditions. The swell will taper off, but there are still decent waves to ride. Winds will shift to a more southerly direction, making it a relaxed day! 🥰

Wednesday:
Get ready for a booming day of surf! The waves will be firing all day long, offering fantastic conditions for intermediate/advanced surfers. Whether you’re an early bird or prefer an afternoon session, the swell will be strong, making it an ideal day to catch some epic waves. And if you’re taking a break to rest those arms, drop by the restaurant to score a quick coffee or power up with a healthy breakfast or lunch! 🏄🏻☕🏄‍♂️

Thursday:
Similar to Wednesday, Thursday promises excellent surfing conditions. Around noon, you’ll experience offshore winds, setting the stage for some quality rides. Another great day to hit the waves and enjoy the boost in swell!

Friday:
The waves will be at their peak with the most swell of the week, but get ready for some strong winds too! It’s a day for experienced surfers looking to challenge themselves and harness the power of both the waves and the wind. If you’re up for the adventure, you’ll find some exhilarating rides. Just be prepared for those gusts—it’s going to be an intense day on the water! 🌬️🔥

Saturday:
After a wild week of waves, the swell will start to drop, making it a perfect day to catch some mellow rides. It’s an ideal time for a relaxed session or to take a surf lesson if you’re looking to work on your skills. Whether you’re just starting out or simply want to enjoy some easier conditions, Saturday offers a great opportunity to unwind and have fun in the water.

Sunday:
We’re back to typical summer vibes with small waves and slowly returning to beautiful weather. It’s a great day to soak up the sunshine, and relax in the mellow conditions. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to enjoy a chilled day at the beach—Sunday’s all about easygoing fun on the water! And don’t forget to come by the restaurant and grab a quick drink to refresh ☀️🍸

Wednesday

A lovely day with medium to small waves that will look very pretty in clean conditions. Swell and soft wind are coming from the North.

Thursday

The little swell continues to push from the North, while the wind will change direction to the South and South/West. Hopefully the swell produces some friendly waves for us. 

Friday

With wind blowing from the South West, we are hoping for a more Western wind, since that will give us little waves. If the wind picks up and comes too much from the South it will blow the waves right past our beach.

The weekend

On Saturday and Sunday there is hardly any wind at the shore and on the sea. There will probably be some small waves from time to time that might just be enough to enjoy with a soft top. If it’s flat, feel free to enjoy our new menu and chill!

Please keep in mind, the forecast is always changing, so it’s always best to check it with our experts from the surf school on the day itself. We are here to share the stoke.

Have you ever done Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) before? Now is your chance!

The coming days it will be flat, so perfect for some SUPPING. 🌊🏄

Relax in the water on days when the waves are not too high. Instead of lying down, you go through the water standing on a large “surfboard” with a paddle in your hand to propel you forward. If you want to go into the water with a SUP board, you will always get good equipment!

BOOK A CLASS AND RECEIVE RENTAL CREDIT!

From now on you will also receive rental credit when booking surf and skate lessons. With this rental credit you can rent your own gear after your lesson and continue the stoke! The rental credit can be spent on surfboards, wetsuits and accessories in our surf school. NB! children may only rent their surfing gear if accompanied by an adult.

PRICES

At Hart we work with fixed starting rates, after which an extra fee is added per fifteen minutes or hour. You can pay after you have paddled and returned all your belongings. This way you never pay too much in advance, but exactly for the time you use the items.
