Nederland huist sinds kort een shoegaze groep van internationale allure: Resplandor. Niemand minder dan Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins), wiens echoënde, dromerige gitaren de basis legde voor de etherische rock, produceerde hun album Tristeza. Bovendien verzorgde Slowdive's Simon Scott, die met zijn holle drumslagen de shoegaze in de 90s voortstuwde, de mastering. Twee iconen die niet zomaar hun namen verbinden aan deze act: Tristeza kreeg lovende kritieken en ze stonden op meerdere festivals over de hele wereld.
