Super8 Reversal Lab

The MKM super8 editing table is back in Friesland, I have donated it to the Fries Film & Audio Archief so it might be used again. Jurjen Enzing (left) is very happy that this piece of Frisian film heritage will be preserved like this, as this editing table originally belonged to Noorderlicht Film Minnertsga of whom the Fries Film Archive also has some films in its collection. This way, a more complete story can be preserved and told.

Yes, I make a living from processing analogue films. There is a lot to say about film as medium. I think analogue film is not a holy grail or the ultimate and only format for making movies.
Using analogue film makes you think and live different because it is more difficult and costs a high amount to use it. Analogue film demands you to act and re-think the moment you live in. That makes filming on analogue film so fantastic. That makes analogue film more real life. That is why I use it.

On the left side you see Dick Boer, he wrote many books and articles about small format film making. Now his personal films are added to our national archive. His books should be there too. He was very important for super8 in the Netherlands! Hurray for Dick Boer.
