Official Announcement from the International Court of Justice Ministry
We are pleased to provide an update on the current status of the leadership within the Ministry of the International Court of Justice. The ministry is currently managed by Dr. Alexander Jan (Hany El Zahar), who is serving as the Acting Vice President/CEO of the entire ministry.
A recent board meeting of the ministry resulted in the removal of one director due to incomplete tasks. According to federal regulations, the former director’s name will remain on the government online registration list for one year, but he will hold no executive, judicial, or financial authority within the ministry.
We also announce that, as of today, the International Court of Justice Ministry has no judge, representative, director, or administrative body in the Arabian Gulf region.
This decision, recorded on 16/07/2024 at 3:30 PM American time, is documented as Decision No. 1358, in accordance with the executive regulations.
This is an official announcement, and we request that it be taken into consideration in any direct or indirect communications on social media.

July 2, 2024 — The International Court of Justice Ministry is pleased to announce the appointment of Judge, Professor, PhD, Benjamin Westfield as interim president, effective immediately. This appointment will remain in place until the selection of a new permanent president is finalized.
Benjamin Westfield brings extensive experience and a strong commitment to upholding justice and international law. With a background in legal affairs and a dedicated career in public service, he is exceptionally qualified to lead the International Court of Justice Ministry during this transitional period.
As interim president, Benjamin Westfield will oversee the Ministry’s operations, ensuring the continuation of its essential functions and upholding the highest standards of justice administration on an international scale. He will collaborate closely with the Ministry’s team to facilitate a seamless and effective transition.
“We are confident that Benjamin Westfield will provide strong leadership during this critical time,” said Dr. Alexander Jan, Vice President and spokesperson for the International Court of Justice Ministry. “His expertise and vision will guide our efforts as we continue to serve the global community and uphold principles of justice.”
