Pelikan Souveran M1000 Maki-e Ivy and Komon features a brilliant orange ivy covering the fountain pen, and in combination with the Komon patterns, it depicts a beautiful autumn. The pen is equipped with a 18k gold nib and fills ink via a piston filler mechanism. Each pen is individually signed by the artist and limited to only 123 pieces worldwide.

Maki-e is the art of Japanese lacquer painting and is renowned for its beauty and craftsmanship. The rare Japanese lacquer Urushi is applied to the fountain pen in a large number of layers and polished repeatedly.

The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Jane Austen pays tribute to one of Britain's most celebrated novelists. Known for her social observation and wit, Austen's works place her alongside Shakespeare in the history of English literature’s greats.

Each writing instrument in the collection represents a significant passion in Austen’s life. The wax seal that Austen used for the estimated 3,000 letters she wrote during her lifetime inspires the shape of all four editions. Three of these editions feature the words "By a Lady" on the cap top, reflecting how her first published novel, Sense and Sensibility , was originally anonymously signed, while the fourth edition reveals her real name. The design on the nib showcases the silhouette of Jane Austen, while the writing instruments’ clip shape draws inspiration from the band of a reticule, a pouch-like ladies’ handbag from the Regency era.

With its new Meisterstück x Olympic Heritage Collection, Montblanc celebrates the 100th anniversary of its writing instrument while paying homage to the centenary of the 1924 Olympic Games.

HOMAGE TO GUSTAV KLIMT

In honour of his immortal contribution to the quest for perfection in art, the Montblanc Masters of Art collection pays tribute to Gustav Klimt, one of the most important artists of Art Nouveau and Symbolism and a pioneer of artistic individuality.

One of his first paintings to place equal value on the ornament and the sitter was a portrait from 1902 of his partner and muse Emilie Flöge, depicted in a dreamy, almost mystical blue. This artwork provided the blue tone used in the Montblanc Masters of Art Homage to Gustav Klimt Limited Edition 4810. The circles, swirls, triangles and lines shimmering through the translucent, dark-blue lacquer of the writing instrument come from his famous painting The Kiss.

This is a special edition 100 years after its first appearance in 1924. The Meisterstück line is Montblanc’s most famous writing instrument. On this extraordinary occasion, we celebrate with Montblanc the revision of the 3 Meisterstücks: The Classique 145, the LeGrand 146 and the 149.
