United for Intercultural Action Videos

Videos by United for Intercultural Action. UNITED for Intercultural Action is the Pan European network against nationalism, racism, fascism

While we're preparing for our 9th of November campaign, we're happy to share other forms of our activism. ⭐️As you know we're very proud of the activity carried on by our Experts & Delegates who bring diverse voices in relevant meetings regarding discrimination, participation and human rights🎥For this reason we're sharing the video-story by Eunice Ayen Ondo, who attended ASEF Young Leaders Summit (ASEFYLS) 2024 in Budapest, which happened from October 4–11 to discuss leadership in the framework of Society 5.0, a vision of a human-centered future that combines social progress and technology innovation. 📝The summit's programs were designed to tackle leadership in different contexts and perspectives. Workshops encouraged participants to embrace mutual respect and trust within a culturally varied group and sessions focused on discussing the issues created by cultural differences, particularly in communication and leadership, also providing further practical tools for overcoming these gaps. 📱The summit also explored the intersection of digitalization and youth leadership, showing how cultural behaviors influence the way different regions and countries adopt and adapt to digital technologies.Enjoy the video then or read more about it on our website here and #stayunited 🫶 : https://unitedfia.org/2024/10/31/united-in-budapest-to-shape-the-future-of-society-5-0/#leaderhsip #youthparticipation ASEFEdu Council of Europe Youth

📣 STOP RACISM NOT THE GAME! ⚽️🏀🏈🥎🎾🏓🏹🏋️‍♀️🤺🤸‍♀️⛹️‍♀️ It’s hard to know what to do against racism, especially talking about grassroots sport. Sometimes we have to break the rules to support people who experience discrimination. ➡️Here’s the case and the 9 months of struggles and actions of Juha Sokka, the IceHockey Head coach of the Lahden Pelicans Ice Hockey Club who got suspended for stopping a game after one of his 13-year-old players was racially insulted in November 2022. The referee didn’t report the insult and the team also got a fine of 3,000 euros to pay for quitting the game. Let’s hear from Juha what he did after that!▶️🔊 🔹Stop Racism, not the game! is a campaign born within the #Monitora project created to encourage people to report, monitor and fight racism in grassroots sports.
