Phase 1 of the 10 day bootcamp for the first Blue Venture Builder program is complete! ✅

At Hatch Blue, we strive to bring together top-tier talent, devotion to impact and creative thinking in order to drive innovative solutions in every sustainable blue initiative.

Amongst their daily lessons, team building and coming up with creative solutions to problem statements, the Blue Venture Builders visited Abagold, a farm that produces abalone in close harmony with nature in South Africa. The pristine cool water of the Atlantic Ocean provides the necessary nutrients for the cultivation of the highest quality abalone. They export canned and dried abalone all over the world.

Bravo on the creativity, drive and bravery for taking on a rigorous program to help build blue technology in the region. For many of you, the work has just begun. Phase 2: Validation, begins now 🎓

The Blue Venture Builder AFRICA programme is a first of its kind for Hatch Blue in many ways:

🌍 Africa is a brand new region for our company. It should be highlighted that this programme will be focused on the blue economy talent within this region - in particular from , , , , , and .

🗓 There are 3 phases of this programme beginning 1st of May with a 10-day in-person bootcamp, a two month online Validation period, and finishing with an ongoing phase 3 Acceleration period which will finish in September of 2024.

🚀 Hatch & will work with 30-40 individuals & teams, who are passionate about building a sustainable business in the Blue Economy. Learn more about how we will structure the programme!
