The SU93 hull unit is a BIG boy, there is no doubt about it. Recently, MECOM (Marine Equipment Joint Stock Company) celebrated their first Simrad SU93 delivery in Vietnam. The fishing vessel BĐ92457TS was fitted out in Binh Đinh. Do Chi Hung (Captain, left) and Le Van Tu (MECOM specialist, right) were both happy to see the hull unit well onboard, just before it was lowered carefully into the hull. Excellent job from all parties, and thanks for the good news, MECOM!

Simrad is a part of Kongsberg Discovery. One of the other products we have is the HUGIN autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). In the news now, Silentworld Foundation, using the HUGIN AUV, has discovered the shipwreck of the "SS Montevideo Maru" 4,000 meters below the surface of the ocean off the coast of the Philippines.

Our Simrad ES80 echo sounder system has been updated with a new software version. The same software is used for the EQ50 single-beam sounder and the CP60 current profiler, as the license you apply defines the product in use. The new SW has version 23.1.
