Ambassador Avi Nir-Feldklein

I feel so privileged to be the Ambassador of Israel to Norway. Not only do I get to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, I also get to live in one of the best capital cities in the world.

My work is rewarding too. It allows me to meet exciting partners who are interested in exploring practical collaboration opportunities. Not only for the benefit of both of our countries, but also for the benefit in fields that will contribute to challenges in other parts of the world.

Yesterday was another one of those days with excellent meetings, more specifically with the Research Council of Norway (Norges forskningsråd) and Startup Norway. We also had the pleasure of hosting the Friends of Israel in the Storting (the Norwegian parliament) for lunch.

Thank you all. I look forward to our future meetings and cooperation.

Jeg føler meg så privilegert som får være Israels ambassadør til Norge. Ikke bare får jeg bo i et av de vakreste landene i verden, jeg får også bo i en av de beste hovedstedene i verden.

Jobben min er givende. Den lar meg møte spennende partnere som er interessert i å utforske muligheter for samarbeid. Ikke bare samarbeid som gagner Norge og Israel, men samarbeid som vil bidra til løsninger på globale utfordringer.

I går var nok en slik dag med gode møter. Blant annet med Norges forskningsråd og Startup Norway. Vi hadde også gleden av å være vertskap for vennskapsgruppen, Israels Venner på Stortinget til lunsj.

Takk alle sammen. Jeg ser frem til fremtidige møter og samarbeid.

Vi kan ikke feire demokratiet bare når vi liker resultatet Valgdagen er alltid en feiring av demokratiet. Uansett hva resultatet er, vinneren er folket. Man kan ikke beskrive valgdagen som en svart dag (Harald Stanghelle, Aftenposten 2. november) bare fordi man kanskje ikke er fornøyd med resultatet, som jo er hele poenget og selve ideen om valg.

Yesterday I had the honor of presenting my credentials to HM King Harald V of Norway.

I feel privileged to represent Israel 🇮🇱 in both Norway 🇳🇴 and Iceland 🇮🇸, and I very much look forward to strengthening our countries relations, understanding and friendship.

Shalom Norway and Iceland. My name is Avi Nir-Feldklein and I am currently the Ambassador Designate to Norway and Iceland. Once I present my credentials to His Majesty King Harald V later this month, I will officially become the Ambassador. In the meantime, I will work closely with the local staff to examine the current exchanges of knowledge, collaborations and partnerships between Israel, Norway and Iceland, while at the same time think of ways to both strengthen and expand our relations.
