This years Easter-Expedition accomplished!
Such a low key tradition that the kids love. Tenting, bonfire and playing all night in the snow. We hoped for sunny days and the hope remains… ☀️☀️

My first Sports Gala was an honor!
The anticipation and nervousness was intense but having good friends like in the audience and by my side made me feel well supported.

Congratulations to all the winners, nominees and fellow contributors.

This was my dream! ✨

“You need to have a near future goal and a far future goal?” Helga (my nurse) said while looking down on her blank sheet of paper.
I sat in my wheelchair unable to walk or use my legs.
With my 42 kilos I looked more like a sparrow than a fighter.

“Ok” I said. “My near future goal is to sit upright in my wheelchair through an entire meal before I have to go rest but my far future goal is to ski powder down a mountain side again!”

Helga took a quick glance at me to make sure she heard me correctly. Then she covered up her smile and wrote down the words on her piece of paper.

Now it’s my turn to smile because I did make it back to the mountains and my powder skiing again!
I may not ski like I used to but the feeling is maybe even greater today.

Dare to dream I always say…
Having a dream gives you direction in life. Which again makes it easier to make more deliberate choices every day. Because you know where you’re going! 😘

This is my best anti-depressive prescription!

Honestly I find November to be the most challenging month of the year. The hardest part is the constant darkness that characterizes most of the day this time of the year in Norway. The lack of sun deprives me of energy…

That’s why spending weekends in the mountains is my favorite escape. The energy I get from the snow-covered mountains and beautiful landscape is the best anti-depressives I could wish for.

This weekend was a refueling cocktail consisting of my favorite ingredients;
Mountains, snow, sun, skiing, good friends and family.

This recipe is up for grab if you need… ❤️

Sometimes we get so caught up in waiting for the perfect time, the perfect vacation or the perfect wave that we forget to enjoy what we have here and now.
This trip was all about hanging out with good friends, laughing and playing.
And to enjoy every moment.
And so we did.

I can still remember the first time I visited these mountains…
My jaw dropped and my heart jumped a beat… I can easily admit that I fell in love in an instant!

Being back here with the girls brings the best from two worlds. I am so happy to spend time together, enjoy the mountains, ski and laugh!
I’m fortunate to still be able to enjoy this world, meet old friends and share it all together!!

Chamonix, we’ll be back! 💙

As we travel from sea to mountains and from family to family we feel grateful.
Grateful to have such great families.

24 hours in Bergen was an intense ride and feels like so much more…
We’ll all move on but the vibes, the stories and most importantly the people will stay with me for long.
