Welcome to the Scandinavian Society of Periodontology 2024 meeting Sivuston kuvaus

Thank you, Kiyoshi Kanetsuka and Straumann Japan, for a productive, rewarding and very interesting week in Tokyo! We really enjoyed meeting the Japaneese clinicians, sharing experiences and gaining new knowledge on how to maintain oral health! Met with hospitality and openness, we returned home with new liaisons and a lot of inspiration!

Our close colleague, Susan Wingrove (BS, RDH, International speaker, author, researcher, instrument designer) did an Italian Educational Tour medio May 2024, visiting the University of Bologna and Genoa, updating the Dental Hygiene and Dental Students.
In her presentations on Implant Maintenance, Home-Care and Disease treatment, she talked about Labrida BioClean for maintenance treatment!
Susan also presented at the major dental hygiene conference, CSANA Academy, in Asti!

PhD student Ole Klein presented the interim clinical results from an ongoing clinical study "Treatment of advanced periodontitis using an oscillating chitosan brush with or without a chitosan-lactic acid gel - a randomized parallel arm clinical trial" at the IV International Congress “Memorial Cattabriga” (Sapienza University of Rome, Rome) February 1st 2024.

His conclusions were:

Within the limits of the present study, it is concluded that; -

Both treatments resulted in statistically significant improvements in all evaluated clinical parameters

The adjunctive subgingival application of Labrida GeliX™ to Labrida BioClean® yielded statistically significant better improvements compared to Labrida BioClean® alone

For this, he received an Honorable Mention!
