It may not seem like a cause for celebration, but it actually is. It's a celebration of our capacity to reset everything by simply not caring. Once you've achieved that ultimate reset, where nothing holds any power over your thoughts, feelings, or your essence, you're free to reconstruct your life piece by piece, exactly as you wish. I'm not entirely sure this makes any sense, haha, but I like the song and especially how it builds-up towards the end.

Does the buildup in this song hint that what I'm trying to convey here is more complex than it initially appears? Despite the song intensifying, the lyrics stay consistent, perhaps suggesting that achieving such a state of apathy and resetting oneself is easier said than done. Hmmm, I'm not entirely certain. But honestly, I DON'T CARE. I just wrote the song.

A bunch of good people came together for the final part, lending their voices to the climax. I think I remember every single one of them. And, of course, a huge thank you to the band, my absolute favourite, tOlav Larsen & the Alabama Rodeo Stars

"You're Not The Same" holds a special place in my heart. It's a tribute to two pivotal figures in my life. The first, unapologetically, is myself. This song underscores the belief that change begins within. I represent the most vital person in my own journey, a notion I feel many can resonate with. The second muse for this song is a combination of various individuals I've encountered, each leaving an unforgettable mark on me, whether through positive or challenging experiences. They collectively symbolize growth and insight. In my mind, this entity takes a feminine form, though not definitively. Writing about her helps me distance myself from emotions that feel too raw. Ultimately, this song is an intimate reflection, and I hope it speaks to you. Perhaps, you'll find a piece of yourself in the lyrics. Thank you for your unwavering support, and I hope you enjoy the song as much as I cherished writing it.

Excited to announce the release of my latest track, "Finding Myself," now available on all streaming platforms! This song is a journey in self-discovery. It's not about complex lyrics or intricate melodies, no, it's about the universal experience of searching for one's identity.

"Finding Myself" is simple as f**k in its composition, yet it aims to resonate deeply with your innermost thoughts on existence and wellbeing. These timeless themes are presented as a straightforward country tune. My hope is that through these simple words, you will find [...fill in the blank(s)...]

Inspired by the wisdom of Victor E. Frankl, Dostoevsky, and thought leaders like Thomas Sowell and Noam Chomsky its apparent to me that profound truths are often to be found in the simplest of words.

Join me in exploring these age-old questions of existence through the lens of a song that I hope you will tune into and reflect over. Perhaps you'll find a piece of yourself in "Finding Myself." 😅🎶

We're thrilled to announce the release of our new song, "The Other Side".

Back in 2018, I was given the wonderful opportunity to perform live at the beloved Fri i Fargegaten. Jan Rune asked for a full-blown gospel show. An unconventional request, perhaps? But my excitement wouldn't allow anything but a resounding 'yes'! So, with Fri Bar as my inspirational 'other side', I actually crafted "The Other Side".

Envision it as a place:
"Where men can love men and women love women
Where happiness grows into a down to earth heaven"

This song, though born after my gospel phase, had no perfect place until now as a stand alone single. I won't rule out a new gospel album for non-believers in the future, but for now, it's merely a thought. Nonetheless, due to popular demand, "The Other Side" found its way into the current Alabama Rodeo Stars recording session.

In my solo shows, I love to sing it, inviting the audience to join in the chorus. The lyrics, too, seem to resonate. Who wouldn't like to go to:

"A place where your mind is free
Where people respect your personality
Where you're free to think what you want to think
Where wisdom is shared over one too many drinks"

I hope "The Other Side" brings you as much joy to hear as it did for me to write and record.

Stream of Consciousness was voted Album of the Year by a jury of eleven persons* handpicked by Norsk Americana Forum.

The Fjordingprisen event gathered the Norwegian Americana community in Halden for two amazing days of music, music and more music, performed by numerous talented musicians and bands spanning three generations of songwriters.

Needles to say that this is a huge achievement for the band and we are forever grateful!

Thanks a lot for all the kind words and positive feedback. We are slowly realising that Stream of Consciousness really has made an impact on so many people.

Back in the mid nineties Bob Dylan changed my life. Yes he did! He came like a hurricane and the times were forever changed. I picked up the guitar, discovered the mysteries of the blues and never looked back. The man who actually wrote blowing the wind is still alive! Isn’t that just mind blowing? Blowing in the Wind got covered by The Staple Singers who again inspired Sam Cooke to write A Change is Gonna Come. There are as many anecdotes like this as there are original Bob Dylan songs. In my humble opinion Bob Dylan might just be the worlds most underestimated artist. Kid you not! Let me paraphrase Leonard Cohen who said that giving the is like pinning a medal on Mount Everest for being the highest mountain. Yes! That’s how darn good this cat is! A chameleon in disguise that never ceases to explore, amaze and inspire. A thief of a wordsmith that works on a completely different level than anyone ever before or after. All while respecting the lucky ones who are offers for his delicate robberies. Had Dylan died in that motorcycle crash back in 1966 he would still have been one of the most legendary musicians of all time. Congratulations on your 80th birthday, Monsieur Bob Dylan! You are by far the greatest of all time!
