We are pleased to announce that Ross Offshore has entered into an agreement to join ABL Group, with a plan to merge with its energy and software consultancy branch AGR, based in Norway and Australia 👉🏼 https://agr.com/news/ross-offshore-to-join-forces-with-agr/

By merging with AGR upon completion of the acquisition, Ross Offshore will consolidate its recognised reputation and expertise in wells and reservoir engineering and consultancy with that of AGR's to form an even broader technical offering, and a stronger leading position for further growth into new markets globally.

"This partnership is a strategic synergy of two completely complimentary companies, unlocking the opportunity to further strengthen our mutual position in oil and gas markets, so we can help bring best practice to more clients in more countries globally. It also represents a chance for both companies to grow our activity in the energy transition space. Lastly, with AGR and part of ABL Group, we will be able to nurture and grow the Ross approach for technical excellence beyond Norway and into new industry sectors," comments Jørgen Jørgensen, CEO of Ross Offshore.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in late Q2 or early Q3 of this year.

📣 Bartosz Grudziński is our new Geoscientist at the Sandefjord office 🤩

He holds a bachelor’s degree of Geology from the University of Warsaw and acquired his Master’s in Petroleum Geoscience Engineering from the University in Stavanger 👏

After a year in Poland working on seismic interpretation and design of velocity models, he came back to Norway to work for us ⭐

Bartosz is a devoted music fan and a sports maniac. He loves going to concerts and festivals as well as cycling, climbing, volleyball, football, squash, golf, downhill and cross-country skiing 🎵 ⛷

He's super excited to be back and to develop his skills and career further at Moreld Ross Offshore 😎

📣 Lars-Espen Kolberg is our new Ross Star and Drilling & Well Engineer ⭐

He holds a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Stavanger and a trade certificate in Electro.

Lars-Espen has onshore and offshore experience from the oil and gas industry, in both drilling and well intervention. Previously he worked at Altus Intervention as an Operations Supervisor for Logging and tractor operations, and before that as a Field Engineer in the same company. He also has several years of offshore experience in drilling from Archer as Roughneck.

He lives together with his girlfriend in Stavanger, and in their spare time, they do different activities such as hiking, skiing, and sports climbing ⛷️🌄🧗🏻

Lars-Espen is looking forward to new challenges in Ross Offshore! We are lucky to have you onboard! 🤩

📣 Nermin Hrustic is our new Ross Star and Senior Well Intervention Engineer & Supervisor ⭐

He holds a Trade Certificate within Wireline, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Stavanger.

Nermin started in the oil and gas industry in 2012. He has offshore experience from well intervention and drilling, and has lately worked with operations management in Interwell. Nermin likes a varied workday with constant challenges and learning. In addition, he is a team player and thrives around people.

He currently lives in Sola with his wife and son while they are building their new home in Sandnes 🏠 In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, fishing, and being active ✈️🎣

Now he is looking forward to new challenges with our Drilling & Well team 🙌🏻 We are lucky to have you and we are excited to share this journey with you 🤩

📣 Joakim Espedal is our new Ross Star and Marine Specialist at our Stavanger office ⭐

He holds a Master’s mariner class certificate from maritime technical college in Haugesund.

Joakim has marine experience working as deck officer on subsea construction and anchor handling vessels before he started as vessel manager and marine specialist in offshore shipping.

He lives in Sandnes with his family and enjoys a good day in the mountains 🌄 in both summer and winter. Joakim is looking forward to solving the challenges of the Ross Offshore Marine department together with the team and improving future energy solutions 🙌🏻

📣 Kari Johnsen is our new Ross Star and Principal Geologist at our Sandefjord office ⭐

She has a Master's degree in Geology from University of Oslo and has +25 years of experience from oil and gas exploration in Norway.

Kari recently moved to Andebu where she lives with her partner and a dachshund named Stella 🐕 She has two grown sons in Oslo.

She is particularly fond of mountain hiking in her free time, often including fishing and hunting. She also enjoys traveling to new and exciting places 😊✈️

📣 We are happy to welcome Anne-Marte Olsen Malmin as our new Ross Star and Drilling & Well Engineer ⭐

She holds a Trade Certificate in Wireline and a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Technology from the University of Stavanger.

Anne-Marte has offshore experience from mechanical and electrical wireline and has lately worked with completion in Weatherford.

She lives in Stavanger with her husband and their two active kids 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 During her spare time, she enjoys baking sourdough bread 🍞 and spending time with family and friends. For the last couple of years she has been busy growing her family and renovating their dream home 🏠

Anne-Marte is looking forward to new challenges in Ross Offshore, and we are excited to follow her journey! 🤩

📣 William Bertram is our new Ross Star and Marine Specialist at our Stavanger office ⭐

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science from the University of South-Eastern Norway.

After ending his career as a deck officer in the offshore industry, he started working in the operations department at the same offshore shipping company.

William lives in Stavanger together with his girlfriend and little dog Lou 🐶 They enjoy walks, traveling, and the “cabin life” ✈️🚶🏻‍♂️

If you can’t reach him on his phone, he is probably out golfing ⛳

He is educated from Teknisk fagskole in ship technical operations.

Experience from vessels as Chief engineer and Operations Manager in production company with treatment of drill cuttings, and as a firefighter for Rogaland Brann & Redning.

He lives in Stavanger with his family. In his spare time he is active and runs after his three busy kids 👪

Meet Ove Flågeng - who is a wonderful colleague, always cheerful, positive and ready to help 🤩

He also knows a lot about football ⚽ and music 🎵, so we never run out of things to discuss in coffee breaks.

Ove is usually the first one to arrive office in the morning, and is always ready with freshly brewed coffee when the rest of the gang arrives ☕ We appreciate that!

Ross offshore «Lunch&Learn»

With the use of Teams, we are able to meet our fellow colleagues in Sandefjord and Bergen for a joint lunch and learn session.
We meet up for a lunch and have different topics on the agenda every time.

It’s a great social event, and an arena for sharing of knowledge between the competent Ross Stars and different departments😊

This session was initiated and lead by Ross Offshore Drilling Manager, Jan Ivar Tistel, who shared valuable learning from Drilling activity.

Haavard Fadnes is our new Marine Advisor in our Marine department, and joined us at a perfect time because of the increased activities 🙌🏻

He has a bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science and has been working as an officer at multiple vessels, latest as the 1st officer on an IMR offshore construction vessel 🚢

He lives together with his girlfriend in Sandnes and they are spending most of their spare time sailing with base from Bømlo ⛵

Haavard is looking forward to meeting new colleagues and exciting challenges in Ross Offshore 👊🏻, hoping to have a balanced office and offshore workload.

We are lucky to have you and share this journey with you! 🤩

💥 2023 takes off with high marine activity for various clients. The Marine team is currently involved in 5 different projects, reconnaissance survey, pre- installation of anchors, Jack-up- and semi-submersible rig move and vessel based Well-head cutting ⚓

Our services ranges from Vessel Management, Offshore Managers, Shift Supervisors and Offshore marine representatives. We will ensure the best possible performance on behalf of our clients 🚢

The activity level seems to continue throughout the winter season, bring it on! 👊🏻

Eivind Molvik started working for Ross Offshore in December as Project Controller within Drilling and Well.

His education is from Technical college in Petroleum (Drilling). He also has education from BI Stavanger within economics and administration and has an ongoing master’s degree in Risk- and Safety management at University of Stavanger 📖

Eivind has 11 years of experience from the oil and gas industry. He has worked within drilling and well, onshore and offshore, in addition to other various positions.

In his spare time, he enjoys various activities such as skiing and hiking, and enjoys the boat life ⛷️🚶🏻‍♂️🚤. He lives in Sandnes with his family, and they have a Friday-tradition where they all make exciting food together. 🍽️🍕

Eivind says: “I have a great interest in the industry, and I am looking forward to contributing and taking on new challenges in Ross Offshore. So far so good!” 🙌🏻

Vi gikk for trick i år, men håper likevel sjefen gir oss litt treats🫣
Det er jo bare Halloween en gang i året🤭

Kaffibaren er pimpet med skremmende effekter🎃🦇, men vi strekker strikken og legger hodene våre litt på blokka med å også pimpe sjefens profilbilde.

👉Vi har risikovurdert det dithen at vi sikkert muligens ikke mister jobben vår på dette stuntet, men vi er veeeeldig på kanten i forhold til personvernet i selskapet.

👉Og til de av dere som har lest ALL tekst helt hit, så kan vi røpe at vi faktisk har klarert det med vedkommende selv og han har samtykket i bruken av bildet til vårt formål😂.

It`s time to shine 🌟 Make use of reflectors ⚪

Ross Offshore support the annual «Trygg Trafikk Reflector Campaign» the 20th of October, and will use the opportunity to remind our Ross Stars 🤩 and YOU 😍 about the importance of being visible in traffic 🚘.

Did you know that........

🚗 If you are wearing reflector and walking in traffic area at night-time, you can be visible for a driver 140meters away. Compared to only being visible 25-30meters away if not wearing a reflector. 👉 Giving the driver 10 seconds to respond instead of 2 seconds which obvious can make a difference to the outcome.

🚶‍♂️ Many of the traffic accidents involving pedestrians are related to someone crossing a busy street in the city at night-time. Lights from cars and reflections from windows tend to get the drivers attention, and it is difficult to spot pedestrians not wearing reflector.

Pink Ribbon 🎀

Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer for women, and it affects about 3500 women in Norway each year ➡ https://kreftforeningen.no/rosasloyfe/om-brystkreft/

The Pink Ribbon race is held this year for the 7th time, both physical and virtual, to raise awareness. Ross Offshore supports this cause and has encouraged our employees to participate in this race. We donate an amount for each employee who participates, and the money goes to the Pink Ribbon campaign and their research on breast cancer.

In these pictures below you can see our Ross Stars who joined the race, both physically and virtually. We had a fun time with our colleagues while contributing to a good cause. Win-Win! ❤
