- artists in residence Hanne, Helene, Dunia and Eugenia showing a work in progress from their pre-project Detours
- Keira presenting poems from her solo performance No more news for Nancy (NB: workshop coming up in July!)
- Monica performing songs and mantras on guitar
- Leo X doing his third ever stand-up comedy
- Šárka bringing back her saxophone practice for her new project Swan on a leash
- Atul experimenting with field recordings, guitar and voice
- Live opening the dance floor and somehow bringing the entire crowd into movement

The performers in Kunstgrillen are currently spending their days outdoors, researching new methods and preparing for a new version of the project «Birds & Smalltalk» for Kammermusikkfestivalen.

Up and running as an open art collective since 2020 (!!?), and celebrating with an exciting lineup of events! Join us for a full day and night of art, performance and music.

Enjoy the sun, have a coffee, do some drawing, or chalk on the ground. Free, family-friendly, and perfect for hanging out with your kids!

Kick off the evening with an outdoor performance by Kunstgrillen performance ensemble. Cawing, flying, singing, moving and dancing through the area in curious manners. Family-friendly!

🎨 **19:00 - 21:00 Pre-opening of Art Exhibition by Leo Ribeiro and Guests** 🎨
Enjoy the open house and bar, grab some food and mingle. We're pre-opening "KRA TOONS" curated by Leo Ribeiro, with works by local cartoon artists Rasmus Husebø, Maya Øvrebø, Stuart Mcgarey, Dusan Cvetkovic, Espen Birkedal, and Leo Ribeiro himself.

💃 **22:00 - 02:00 Dance Party with DJ Alamandala** 💃
Get ready to rock the dancefloor with DJ Alamandala! Alicja Pierzyna will spin an eclectic mix of organic, afro, and melodic house tracks!

KRA is both a workspace and open art collective, currently used by 25-30 diverse artists. This is our biggest event of the year, and a perfect time for newcomers to explore our space and join our activities.

KRA values ongoing creative processes, so here you'll see art in the making, unique and unfinished. It’s a glimpse into artistic exploration and collaboration.

KRA Anniversary IV | KRA Our biggest event of the year!

Don't miss out on the dance floor with DJ Alamandala at the Anniversary celebration! 💥

In just a few hours Eduardo and Ingvild are guiding tonight’s Lesesirkel Scenekunst 🧑‍🏫 🌱
18:00 - 20:00 at TOU
We are bringing a selection of short videos and text, and are interested in discussing different approaches to learning, creating and working as part of everyday-life, and which hierarchies are at play. While scenekunst is the context of the talk, anyone is welcome to join! 🙌

Lesesirkel has been an initiative by Marie Ronold Mathisen for the past years, and tonight we will dedicate some extra time to discuss the future and continuity of Lesesirkel. 💥💥

We are ending the year with gratitude for another amazing Open Stage, and want to thank everyone who has been part of shaping, keeping, using, running and funding KRA this year. An extra thank you to Stavanger Kommune, TOU and Rogaland Fylkeskommune for supporting our space!

We are happy to share that from 2024, KRA will also be supported by Kulturdirektoratet!

We can’t wait to get started on the plans for next year - including building a brand new music studio inside KRA, and celebrating our 4th year on the 25th of May (save the date)! 🥳

We are happy to announce Yellow Sessions Stavanger! A series of live recordings organized by our members Eduardo Scaramuzza and Anna Klungre. The initiative started at KRA when our members got together to paint the walls of the common room, and Edu and Anna got inspired by some yellow paint. After everyone else had left, they started painting some stuff yellow, and dreamt about a series of concerts with a nice, handmade scenario. The first videos they recorded will be released during the summer, so keep updated on KRA’s social media and follow their youtube channel: Yellow Sessions Stavanger!!

Vi går videre inn i året med økonomisk sikkerhet, nymalte vegger, nye sofagrupper og så mye aktivitet på huset som koronarestriksjonene tillater. For nå er det mest selvstendig arbeid som gjelder, og vi gleder oss til snart å kunne åpne dørene igjen for større samlinger. One of the great things that happened at Kra this year: we got funding for building a dance floor (dance mats will also come!) and buying new music equipment! Some fiery souls came together to build the floor and it was opened with a breakfast jam and concert by Jafs Trio 😎

We continue looking back at the year! In addition to being a workspace, KRA has been hosting different events. Among them was a performance lecture by Cecilie Lindemann Steen and two second-hand markets with different performances. All members are allowed to host events at KRA such as work in progress showings, improvisation jams etc. Do you have an idea for an event you would like to happen? Shoot us a message!

Now you can choose the one that suits you according to how much you need the space. For those that are already members, you will get an e-mail asking to sign up for one of the new memberships for next month. And remember- you can change between the memberships anytime!

With the new membership it will be easier for artists who want to do a small production to choose the form and availability that they need. KRA is mainly a space for artists who want to hone their own practise, but has also been rehearsal space for a few productions this year! Among them have been “Kunstgrillen” and “The Bear”. There have also been open creation/collaboration days where new ideas and disciplines blend together!

We are looking back at the year! Our first throwback will of course be to the opening this summer. KRA is a workspace that also wants to provide a community and a social aspect for its members. The summer was filled with BBQ gatherings, an opening event and dancers coming together to dance alongside each other for the first time since March.
