Eclectic northern avantgarde metallers Endolith return with new music almost 5 years after their critically acclaimed sophomore full length album Chicxulub - The fossil Record. This time in the form of the Noise Floor Dancers EP, releasing digitally the 6th of october 2023. Featuring one crushing new original track - the title track - and three covers showcasing inspiration and paying homage to artists refusing to be anything other than themselves. The trio of Hofsøy, Malm and Jakobsen again combine elements of death metal, black metal, groove metal, progressive metal, industrial and electronica with flourishes of jazz influences and classical instrumentation, while still presenting a cohesive whole with focused songwriting. Featuring viola amidst distorted synth and layers of vocals, guitars and drums, the title track Noise Floor Dancers present a shock to the senses mirroring the subject matter of the song - the barrage of unfiltered information, conspiracy theories, echo chambers, competing alternative media, politicized press, fake news and science scepticism that pervades our society. The cover version of Senja artist ’s Rubbles is a particularly personal work for Endolith, featuring viola from frequent collaborator and professional violinist . For Endolith, this song symbolises rising from the rubble of the pandemic. cover Army of Me was recorded in 2012 in Endolith's first rehearsal space and was never officially released, but has been performed live on several occasions. cover Earth Died Screaming was recorded during the Chicxulub sessions and was released as a vinyl exclusive bonus track. It is now remixed and remastered and available digitally for the first time. The song features prominent timpani by .
