"Evolution of Safa Tempos: A Sustainable Transport Solution in Kathmandu"

The idea for Safa Tempos was proposed by Peter Moulton and Marily Cohen in 1990. After a USAID-funded pilot, Nepal Electric Vehicles Industries, founded by Mr. Bijay Man Sherchan, father of Mr. Vivek Man Sherchan, Founder of Jimbu adopted the technology. By the 2000s, over 600 Safa Tempos were operating in Kathmandu, boosted by the 1998 ban on polluting Vikram tempos.

Jimbu has always made sure to carry this legacy forward by always being environment friendly.
