𝗨𝗡 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗜𝗫 initiated by UN agencies in Nepal and organized by 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗣𝘃𝘁 𝗟𝘁𝗱 conducted a graduation program for 𝟰𝟮 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮. The Cohort IX graduation program was held at the 𝗨𝗡 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗸, 𝗟𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗽𝘂𝗿.

Real Solutions on behalf of the United Nations in Nepal, on 20th December 2021, had invited graduates belonging to socially excluded groups, gender and sexual minorities, and people with disabilities for the Traineeship Programme. Out of the 2200+ applicants, 47 selected for Cohort IX participated in the virtual Induction Ceremony. The Induction was conducted virtually due to the ongoing pandemic. The purpose of the ceremony was to welcome the trainee and introduce the work environment, practices, ethics, and culture of the UN system in Nepal as well as globally.

UN Traineeship Programme is a joint initiative of the UN agencies, with an objective to provide capacity building and develop professional skills for enhancing employability prospects in the competitive job market to the socially excluded university graduate. Throughout the programme, trainees will get to participate in various training and seminars in the UN system as a part of their learning process. The UN Traineeship Programme - Cohort VIII, concluded on 14th July 2021, with a Virtual Graduation Ceremony organized by Real Solutions, where UNDP- Resident Coordinator, Agency's Focal, Mentors & Trainees were present virtually due to ongoing COVID 19 Pandemic. The 11 months Traineeship Programme was extended for 6 months due to the COVID -19 pandemic and having undergone 17 months full time on the job training with access to mentoring and practical experiences in the International UN working environment, these 44 graduated trainees are now ready to work in their areas of interest in various organizations.
