Our Story
Chhahari is a secure and safe space established for conflict affected, vulnerable and needy single women that will cater to build their self-esteem and develop skills through various capacity building programs along with counselling and skill development trainings.
Chhahari is in Action For:
Single women and their children
- Vulnerable single mothers and their children use this platform as a safe space where they get immediate services.
-At Chhahari, we provide single women with various income generating activities and capacity building programs.
Healing Center
Many of these single women are victims of r**e, torture and other inhumane activities. At Chhahari, we help them recover by providing them with psycho-counselling building and help build their self confidence and provide other training and counseling from trained counselors.
Re-integration
Our ultimate goal at Chhahari is to reintegrate these women back to their communities. We have seen changes in a lot of women during their stay at Chhahari. Many of these women were once afraid of meeting people are now a good public speaker. Most of them who were illiterate, unskilled and had lost hope of earning for themselves and family are now self-employed or employed at various industries.
The products you see, the lunch you receive from us and training hall you use from us are all outcome of the efforts of these single women.
