We are looking for compassionate and dynamic Registered Nurses to join our team. The Nurses are expected to collaborate with the doctors to provide comprehensive care to the patient. They will be responsible to monitor patient condition and maintain detailed patient records, as well as assist in conducting diagnostic tests.

Work Hours: 6-8 hours per day

Salary: Negotiable

Requirements:
- A valid nursing license
- A minimum work experience of 6 months

Approximately, one million Nepalese leave Nepal every year in search for employment, education or better quality of life. Just like many Nepalese today, the team of doctors here at Medharma too travelled to different parts of the world (USA 🇺🇸 and UK 🇬🇧) for their medical trainings. When we talked with these doctors about their time away from home, they all had one concern, the guilt of being absent when their family member fell sick and lack of communication with doctors to understand their family’s well-being. Recognizing this challenge, this group of Diaspora doctors realized the importance of establishing a health care center that caters to the unique needs of Diaspora Families living in Nepal.

This realization has led us to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ‘The Great Nepali Diaspora,’ signifying a remarkable step forward not just for us, but for the entire Nepali Diaspora community. We are not just forging a partnership; we are building a meaningful alliance with ‘The Great Nepali Diaspora’ in a shared mission to revolutionize preventative medicine and primary health care in Nepal, all while fostering the needs of the diaspora families.

Contrary to popular belief, not all seizures manifest as convulsions. As a matter of fact, convulsions are just one face of epilepsy. Epileptic seizures can take various forms, from absence seizure to focal seizure. Hence, it is crucial to be aware and identify seizures in order to provide better support to those affected.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 50 million people worldwide are affected with epilepsy with majority in South Asia. This statistics underscores that someone close to us, perhaps a friend, family member, or acquaintance, might be dealing with epilepsy. This highlights the importance of getting everyone familiar with first aid knowledge in taking care of seizing patients.

When we asked with our expert, Dr Anup, about HIV infection, he replied “HIV for the vast majority of patients is now just a chronic disease like high blood pressure and can be fully controlled with just 2 or 3 medications taken daily. All should understand that it is no longer a scary disease it used to be.”

This World AIDS Day, we stand in solidarity with the global community to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and to eliminate it as a public health threat.

Our mission extends beyond medical care to provide support, education, and understanding. Join us in honoring those affected, challenging misconceptions, and working towards a future free from the impact of HIV/AIDS because together, we can make a difference.
