Sithi Nakha festival exhibits a religious and eco-friendly celebration in the Newar community. The festival reminds the community of their family deity as they make offerings to their ancestral gods. At the same time, people participate in cleaning wells, spouts, pati and pauwa, and their periphery to invite good luck for the upcoming monsoon. Cleaning of water sources also help control water-borne diseases such as typhoid, dysentery and cholera. The day is also marked to commemorate the birth of Kumar Kartikeya, son of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati. Protein rich Wo is the main dish of this festival, which is consumed for the hard work during monsoon.

Notice Regarding Academic Activities in school due to Corona Virus(COVID-19)
In view of the risk of Corona Virus Infection (COVID-19), Government of Nepal has announced the Lock Down beginning from March 22, 2020 to April 12, 2020 and is extended to April 27, 2020.
All the academic activities of this school shall remain closed until further notice. The result of academic year 2076 shall be published after the opening of the school.

Hope you all are safe and healthy, we are hearing the risk of Corona Virus(COVID-19) from media and people around us. Parents should provide enough informations to the children. However we can utilize this time by doing something creative and I hope parents are utilizing their leisure time with their kids doing creative activities. This is the time they learn life skills which ultimately helps them develop management skills.
