MESSAGE FROM MANAGING DIRECTOR
I am Jitu Gurung, Managing Director of our family run hotel, The Silver Oaks Inn. The hotel has been family-run since it was built by my cousin in 1996. As a family of Gurung people,we are originally from the Lamjung area of Nepal. This magnificent area and our home village is near the starting point of the world-famous Annapurna Circuit Trek.
Gurung people are well-known for service as Gurkha soldiers in the UK, India, Singapore, Burnei and Nepal, but, if I may mention, Gurung have become famous for hospitality, too. We aim to continue that tradition as a family-run hotel and especially to make you feel like you are at home away from home during your travels to the lakeside destination of Pokhara.
