Nepal has 185 species of mammals including exotic animals like the Asiatic elephant, the one-horned rhinoceros,the Royal Bengal tiger and two indigenous species of crocodile: the fish eating gharial along with the marsh mugger. There are 399 endemic flowering plants in Nepal which includes medicinal plants, with rich Orchid flora of 104 genus and 454 species mentioned till today, scattered across the country. The present annual global income from tourism is nearly US$13 trillion, with more than 212 million persons are now being employed worldwide through direct and indirect opportunities generated by this industry. It means that out of every nine persons, one person earns a living from tourism.
