A few tips on activating the abs!
💛 Breathe out on the hardest part of the movement, e.g. crunching up. Try to squish all the air out of your abs
💛 Draw your abs flat down in towards your spine. If you're not sure how to do this, put your fingers on your abs and use them for feedback
💛 Do a mixture of crunching movements, gentle twisting (from belly-button up), and brace work, e.g. planks. This will help to work your core from all different angles

How to get stuck into cold water therapy!
• Build Up Tolerance
I built up a tolerance to the cold by swimming year-round (although in winter I wear a wetsuit).
Make sure to gradually go colder - start with cold water only for some time before hitting an ice bath.
• Enter Water Slowly
I would also suggest to enter water slowly, as I do in the video, or if you’re in the shower, gradually turn it colder.
Listen to your body for signs of shock and stop therapy if needed 🙅♀️
• Focus on your Breathing
Once you’re in the water, make sure to breathe normally. I prefer nasal breathing because I feel more calm 🧘♀️
•Exit Slowly and Warm Up
Once you’ve had enough, which will greatly depend on how cold the water is and what your tolerance is, slowly come out of the water.
We get the greatest benefits from cold water immersion if we also then get warm afterwards, so make sure you’re ready with a warm shower or lots of layers 🧣
