June 30th marks the cutoff to claim your Government contribution of $521.43 towards your KiwiSaver. It’s the perfect time to strategize and ensure you’ve met the minimum required contribution of $1,042.86 by the 25th of June to allow the funds to reach us before the 30th of June.
Remember the Government generously contributes 50 cents for every dollar you contribute, up to $521.43, giving your savings a significant boost. If you have joined AE partway through the KiwiSaver year, a pro-rata Government contribution applies.

Important Stock Market Update!!!
If you have been following the news about the US stock market lately, you will be aware the current US market conditions are expected to remain volatile until early next year.
This will be a trying time for our members, but a phase that the Investment Committee believes will pass.
The biggest concern is China’s economy. It has very disturbing economic conditions, high debt levels with failing investors and a serious level of youth unemployment.
The financial commentators are divided about the market direction:
some say “it will grow”
others say “that we are heading for a recession”
The view we take is one of caution. This week our Investment Committee sold down our Equity holdings from approximately 75% to approximately 66%.
We kept stock we believe more likely to recover quickly if there is a market correction yet, hold a sufficient cash reserve to purchase undervalued stock if the opportunity provides.
There is an old saying in the Investment world
“if America sneezes the world catches a cold”
but things have changed, China is now sneezing. All we can do is watch and see what happens.
