2023 marked the 14th year we at Downforce had joined forces with for their Audi ice experience. The feedback shows it was one of the best yet as we hosted guests from both New Zealand and dealer staff from Australia. The team give us everything we need to deliver a world class event and we couldn’t be prouder of the what the whole combined team achieved this season.

As winter drew to a close and the race tracks reopened continued their dedication to delivering experiences for their customers by hosting the Audi track experience. After a three year hiatus for this event, our team revelled in getting the extensive range of Audi’s back on the track where they belong.

Trying to fit the adventures and experiences Audi brought to 2023 into ten photos was a tricky task… more to come in 2024!

It’s no secret that at Downforce one of our favourite times of year is winter! The biggest kept secret of the Southern Hemisphere Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds opens its flats and we get to deliver once in a lifetime events for our clients and theirs.

In 2023 we finished the winter season in ultimate style with Ferrari Australasia Official and Ferrari Esperienza On Ice 2023.

The team delivered an exhilarating experience proving that Ferrari’s are not only made for the tarmac, but can teach you a lot on the ice and snow! The event was made that more special by not only showcasing an iconic supercar Ferrari is famous for in the 296 GTB and 296 GTS, but also being the first look and drive for many owners of the new Ferrari Purosangue, Ferrari’s first ever four-door, four-seater car.

Downforce were extremely honoured to get to work with the Ferrari Purosangue both on the ice and on the road in 2023, and with its V-12-engined 716 newton-meters of torque it delivered in every way possible.

With the Ferrari team we had everything we needed; outstanding cars, epic views and amazing people to make it the best finale to one of our biggest ice seasons yet!

Continuing our great relationship and work with Land Rover New Zealand in 2023 saw us deliver The Defender High Country Experience an impressive eight times throughout Spring and Autumn.

An ultimate tour of the South Island, combining a hosted luxury experience with the unmatched capability of the Land Rover Defender in its natural habitat. In total the tours covered thousands of kms through the rugged but picturesque high country of Central Otago whilst enjoying some of the best hospitality and cuisine the region has to offer, including the epic .lindis nestled in the Ahuriri Valley.

We at Downforce relish such tours as it enables our staff to connect with the clients further and teach them about the many systems on the highly capable Defender in the ‘real world’.

Alongside the Defender High Country Tour Land Rover New Zealand were able to utilise the impressive fleet of Defenders to provide training and experience days for current and future owners working with dealerships such as Ebbett Prestige Tauranga Ebbett Hamilton, Archibald and Shorter Auckland and as well as VIP hospitality showcases such as the event.

Work has already started around how we can go further 🌏 , higher 🏔️ and deeper 🌊 in 2024 with Defender and

One of our goals here at Downforce for 2023 was to grow and expand on our years of experience in automotive events and go that bit further than we had before with new ideas and adventures.

and trusted us to do this when we took All-Terrain to the next level. Delivering an experience simultaneously on the trails of Otago and the proving grounds high up at .

With International media we covered hundreds of kms over road, off-road, snow and water in the Ford Ranger and Ford Everest models.

We then headed back to our local for the press event to showcase the All-Electric Mach-E in a dynamic environment were we demonstrated its power utilising our drag racing, slalom and lane change exercises.

Along with the track day events we do at Downforce, we are extremely lucky to work on some of the best new car launches and we got to work with on some of the most anticipated in 2023.

The New Amarok was always going to a popular one and we enjoyed showcasing it’s abilities both off and on-road. Along with the already popular Amarok, we were able to work with Volkswagen NZ to promote the future of motoring with the fully electric ID4 and ID5.

Alongside the innovative new products we savour working with the amazing Volkswagen NZ training team on their annual This is VW events as we get to meet and train VW staff from all over the country, normally starting their careers in the automotive industry.

We look forward to continuing working with the passion and creativity the Volkswagen NZ team brings to our events.

Working together since the beginning, Continental Cars Porsche has always had the same philosophy as Downforce when it comes to their cars and their clients. Precision, passion and Porsches - the perfect blend on track. Undoubtedly a car made for track days, we at Downforce love to see new faces but also the same drivers coming back again and again, and pride ourselves that we can tailor each track day to the individual goals of the driver with our one on one tuition.

2023 was a big year on track for the team with five twilight events at Hampton Downs, saying a big farewell to the famous Pukekohe track, and hosting a fantastic two-day track experience in Taupo.

We are looking forward to showing the Continental Cars Porsche team and their clients new and exciting ways to get the best out of the Porsche cars in 2024!

Downforce started 2023 on an adventure with Aston Martin for the DBX707 training and global press event at Fujispeedway. What was meant to be an experience driving at Mount Fuji on track, turned into an impromptu ice drive in the inspiring DBX707 (💡🤔2014).

We then finished the year with Aston Martin Auckland on their South Island drive the range event with an amazing line up of cars that fitted in with the outstanding beauty of the crown ranges. Customers got to drive the DB12, the Vantage F1 edition and the DBX707 as well as their own Aston Martin on a tour that certainly turned some heads.
