A number of small businesses started through the Young Enterprise Scheme in Auckland are focused on supporting other small businesses. 🌟

Kawakawa Kombucha from Glenfield College has made supporting local suppliers a central part of their kombucha business.

Kawakawa Kombucha developed three flavours of kombucha: Manuka Honey, Kiwi Apple, and Feijoa Pear, with all ingredients sourced locally. 🍯🍏🍐

They have done exceptionally well and have sold their product at events, in dairies as well as directly.

The team has also taken advantage of the extra opportunities that come from participating in YES Auckland Virtual Market and we are excited to see where they take their business in the future.

We have a very special announcement. With the alert level changes from 4 to 3 in Auckland, Kawakawa Kombucha has been fortunate to restart production.

Our problem at the moment is we have a large proportion of stock left over from our last production batch (around 50 bottles). This has been and remains an obstacle to us being able to fully restart production as our storage capacity is limited. Being a student led, small business, this has been especially hard as there really hasn’t been a lot of clarity around the situation.

Thats why we’re reaching for your help! From today, we are taking preorders through our Instagram Messages, Facebook Messages, Email ([email protected]), Website (kawakawakombucha.mystorbie.com) all listed in our bio. These orders will be contactlessly delivered to your address within 3 days after payment is received of said order. When ordering please note your name, address, how many bottles you’re looking for and which flavours. With this information we will give you a reference and our banking details.

During difficult times like this, we tend to focus too much on our responsibilities — may it be school work, or other household activities, but what we do forget is looking after ourselves. Take it easy, one step at a time. 🤍

As students, we know how stressful and overwhelming remote learning can be. Just a friendly reminder that your well-being is way more important than any other school work. Take a break, go outside for some fresh air, drink some of our kombucha 👀, and eat something healthy. We are all in this together ❤️
