Ormiston Senior College
Ormiston Senior College: "Preparing and inspiring our students to achieve their very best in a global society”
Senior secondary education in New Zealand (NCEA Levels 1 - 3). Ormiston Senior College is very different from just about every other school in the country. The facilities are truly state-of-the-art and support the wide range of learning, social and sporting opportunities given to students.
Kia ora Ormiston Flat Bush community.
As many of you will know, Ormiston Senior College is going through a period of rapid roll growth. The Ministry of Education will be starting the process of a permanent extension to the school along Collier Drive near the end of the year. I have had confirmation that the Short Term Roll Growth classrooms for the school will begin to be placed on our field, and this process will begin in the next couple of weeks. It is likely that a haul road will be going in place in the next couple of days. This has only been confirmed with us this morning.
I have attached a brief update that provides further information.
Disruption to the community will be minimised as much as possible.
The Board of Trustees will be holding community meetings to go over the permanent build later in the year.
Further communication will go out to our families directly via email.
Congratulations to Selena Ly and Kaylen Soong who participated in the NIWA South & East Auckland STEM fair.
Selena and Kaylen came 3rd. Their project aims is to establish a causal link between mould and flood damaged homes.
