Our co-founder Shoaib Iqbal is featured by the Edmund Hillary Fellowship, highlighting the work he is doing through ReEarth.Studio!
"Shoaib matured reEarth from the network of support from EHF Fellows who helped to ground the project with their wisdom, knowledge and connections, and supported as advisors. This includes Fellows Faumuina Felolini Maria Tafuna'i, CliMatt - Matthew Shribman, Brad Leibov, Cheryl Reynolds, Mark Bregman, & Christopher Bean. EHF Fellows Alex Lee and Deborah Crowe helped to set up The Little Art New Zealand and reEarth Studio.
EHF Fellow Shoaib Iqbal, an advocate for using art and storytelling to inspire and empower children and youth, has nearly two decades of expertise in arts and cultural management. His projects drive social change, encourage creative expression, and celebrate cultural diversity.
As the founder and director of The Little Art, Shoaib uses art to educate and uplift young minds. The Little Art, a non-profit arts education organisation, promotes social values among children and young adults through various art forms, including storytelling. Originally established in Pakistan, The Little Art has recently expanded to Aotearoa NZ, building on its successful foundation.
One of The Little Art’s flagship programmes, ArtBeat, engages children through visual arts and hosts art exhibitions that have seen participation from nearly 60,000 children and young people across Pakistan.
Shoaib is also spearheading ReEarth.Studio in New Zealand, a project dedicated to empowering children and youth to engage in sustainable actions through creative expression in art, design, and technology. This initiative helps young individuals find their voice on critical global challenges and empowers them to become advocates for change in their communities.
The first reEarth project is a public call for International Art Prize for children and youth. The Art Prize will be awarded to works created in painting, photography and digital art forms. There is a range of prizes, including two physical exhibitions that will be hosted in Auckland and Vienna this year.

Shoaib has advised prestigious organisations such as the British Council, UNESCO, and the Government of Sharjah in the UAE, helping to shape and execute arts, storytelling, and cultural strategies on a global scale.
Through using arts and culture as catalysts for social change and mediums for cross-cultural dialogue, Shoaib is helping to empower young people to find their voices and be the storytellers of the next generation.
