after TEN incredible months with the most incredible clients this is very bittersweet…
some know that teaching Pilates has been my side hustle, alongside a very busy corporate 9 to 5, others know it’s been a lot more than, it’s been about teaching others that you don’t need to thrash your body to achieve incredible results.
that corporate job I mentioned above has offered me the most incredible opportunity, the kind that doesn’t come around often, the kind that means packing up my life & relocating to California - this means, The Pilates Edit is for sale!
if you’ve been thinking about taking the step into the health & fitness world, working from home, choosing your own hours or maybe even supplementing your current employment etc this could be right for you.
if you’re local to Avondale, there is an incredible client base desperate for someone to take over as the new owner so they can continue their Pilates journey
to my incredible client base, i have loved every class, watching you grow as people, get stronger & have you trust me each week as I have challenged you to work outside of your comfort zone or kept you in that hold for just 10 seconds longer 🤪

the has almost been open for six months - crazy! I’ve had a look at class times & there’s been a little revamp of the timetable, evenings are definitely popular, so a couple of morning slots have disappeared - not forever, but for now.
if you have a favourite time slot, book it in to make sure it stays around!🙌🏼
& as always, super appreciative of you all, I love seeing your bookings come through & watching you get stronger!

i like to alternate between the Pilates ring and the power ring by to add a little bit of weight into the mix!

in order to have the energy you need for your why, you need to do two things…
1. take care of your body
2. be excited about what you’re doing/trying to create
i initially started practicing reformer Pilates to look after my body, to move in a kind way, to challenge myself without thrashing it & before I knew it I was sleeping better, less wound up, able to cope better in stressful situations & was less injured - I was ‘taking care of my body’. That then lead to number two - I wanted to pass on everything I had learnt mentally, physically & emotionally to others - I was and am SO excited to be doing this.
i want to teach people exercise doesn’t have to be punishment, meditation doesn’t just mean lying in silence for a period of time & results come in multiple forms when you start listening and being kind to yourself! 🥰
if any of the above resonates with you, I encourage you to commit to 1-2 classes a week for a month or so, guarantee you will carry on, because those benefits sure are worth it! 🙌🏼

Whether it be running, cycling, swimming, surfing, skating, lifting weights or dialing it right back to improving posture, balance, central nervous system regulation, reducing stress, breathing which in turn all help with sleep & better managing the busyness of day-to-day life! You can’t go wrong incorporating this kind but challenging form of movement into each week. 🙌🏼✨

mini-hiatus over here when it comes to posting, blame hip surgery…BUT, we’re back to regular programming just in time for the wintery weather 🫥
a couple of ‘be kind to your body’ tips as we enter the depths of the immune compromising season 🤍
despite what you may have been told or are led to believe, thrashing your body isn’t the best way to overcome the common cold, the spicy flu (dare we call it it’s given name!), or just feeling generally run down 🫣🌶
instead nourish your mind & body through feeding it a rainbow of fresh, spray free (where possible) produce, cold pressed juices, warm winter salads and movement that is kind yet effective 🤸♀️😅
please don’t further deplete the goodness you’re trying to hold on to by ‘sweating it out’ - let me help with reformer Pilates being your golden ticket 🔑✨
a kind way to move, connecting your body, mind & breath all while achieving results - don’t get me wrong, there’ll likely be sweating going on but it’s done in a way that’s not sending you into fight/flight mode, keeping that central nervous system in a calm state & giving you the power to fight off any winter bugs 🙌🏼
if you have fallen victim to C19, I urge you to consider Pilates before jumping back into a HIIT workout to avoid any long term affects - remember kind yet effective 💁🏼♀️

from 30 April, Saturday classes are moving to 7am, 8am & 9am - the early birds have spoken & I’ve listened! ✨
get booking your Saturday’s in, better yet, book with a friend & make it brunch afterwards - perfect start if you ask me 🙌🏼
today we reflect & remember them, grateful for what they did for us ❤️

growing up remember when our mothers would tell us to stand tall, chest out, shoulders back…blah bla? I think what was missing from that sentence was the ‘why’ behind it! 🤷🏼♀️
good posture keeps pressure off your joints and ensures that you’re using your muscles the right way. By keeping upright & proud, you’re preventing putting strain on your muscles and overusing them.
a couple of classes a week will help with re correcting those slouchy shoulders & will help engage the right muscles as to not put unwanted pressure on others in day to day life…so what are you waiting for - BOOK THAT CLASS NOW! ✨
