We are so excited to share with you all our band resources as well! We're rounding up our musicians to begin rehearsals over the next few weeks to give this little show a not so little sound!

That's a wrap!! We were so astounded with the talent we saw in our auditions this Tuesday that we are proud to say our Little Jack is NOW FULLY CAST!! :D :D

None too soon, as rehearsals start bright and early this coming Sunday and we have a lot of exciting material to prepare for you all over the next few months.

Our Creative team were so impressed by the talent we saw throughout our auditions this week, and a huge thank you to all those who auditioned with such passion to be part of our project!!

Little Jack — Auckland Music Theatre

Our Musical Director has been hard at work these last two weeks preparing the final stages of the scores for our soon-to-be-assembled cast and band to pore over as we look to bring Little Jack to the stage at the end of this year.

In these two volumes lies a collective wealth of over 300 pages of completely new musical theatre material, and we are so excited to share it with you this year for its inaugural performance!

Yesterday we promised exciting news, and exciting news is what we have to share! :D

The Little Jack creative team can now share that we have been offered (and accepted) the first spot in Auckland Music Theatre's 2022 lineup!!!

The show will be produced by AMT with the Little Jack Team, with ongoing support and sponsorship from our friends at Seed Theatre Company in March 2022. This means that we will be presenting Little Jack in full to an audience, complete with full cast and band! :D

Audition dates and show dates TBA soon, so keep your eyes on our (little) page for updates.

Our creative team went along last night to see Seed Theatre Company's latest show - The End. Kudos to the team behind this original and intriguing production, especially to writer and MD, Emma Walton and director Queenie Samuel.

Amazing news everybody! The boosted campaign for Little Jack has been 100% successful!

Our deepest thanks and gratitude to all those who contributed to the show to make this possible. With theses funds we can now plan to bring a fully staged workshop of Little Jack, in full in late 2021.

Seed Theatre Company are a new, Auckland-based theatre group that are fast becoming known for both the strength of their production, musical and stage work as well as their talent in creating and supporting original new shows from NZ writers and composers. In the meantime we have a new clip to share with you that shows the more upbeat side of Little Jack. This song "Synthesized Bliss" is about the semi legal concoction of Plums and their occupiers juiced together to create a potent amnesiac. Little Jack and Georgie Porgie are busy selling this version of "Bliss" to the unwary, when Georgie gets a marvelous idea on how to speed things up.

Kia orana kopu tangata! Little Jack needs your help to see the lights of the stage!

Our new steampunk musical, based on the nursery crimes of Little Jack Horner & Co, is ready for the smell of the greasepaint and the roar of the crowd. “Little Jack” tells the sad tale of the rise and fall of Little Jack Horner, in a nursery rhyming world where no plum is safe.

This Boosted campaign is focused on raising the funds required to finish the scoring of the band arrangements, hire of band, theatre hire inc (lighting & sound) and costume hire.

After a successful self-funded mini workshop at the end of 2020, our creative team plan to stage the whole musical in a "workshop with wardrobe" format at the end of 2021.
