Jodie debuted her theatre career with ATC's Dancing at Lughnasa in 1995 followed by appearances in Take a Chance on Me, All My Sons, Billy Elliott in the role of Mrs. Wilkinson, and Filthy Business as Carol.

She popped on her producer hat to bring the award-winning Amelia Bullmore to play, Di and Viv and Rose into Circa Theatre in Wellington and The Mayfair in Dunedin to rave reviews. Jodie is delighted to be bringing this show to The PumpHouse Theatre at long last for its Auckland premiere in November.

Jodie will share her experiences of bringing a production to the stage during a pandemic. As part of her talk, Jodie will be joined by Lisa and the fabulous Debbie Dorday who are helping bring Di and Viv and Rose to the stage.

Here we go again!!!! Originally performed by besties Julie Edwards, Lara MacGregor and Jodie Dorday, this show opened to rave reviews from critics, audiences and our acting peers alike at Circa Theatre in Wellington in Oct 2020.

Two long years and three postponements later, I am proud to share this stunning production with you for a season at the glorious Pumphouse Theatre in Takapuna from 10 Nov to 20 Nov 2022.

Due to rescheduling issues the play now has a brilliant new cast - Lisa Chappell as Rose, Eilish Moran as Di joining Jodie Dorday as Viv - an exciting new beginning and at the same time a heartfelt acknowledgement of all the previous and extraordinary work from Julie Edwards, Lara MacGregor and our fabulous Director Stephanie McKellar-Smith.

ahhh tis with a heavy heart that due to uncertainty around Omicron and the risk involved with trying to rehearse and get a show up in Red Light timing in early March, we are needing to postpone this wonderful piece of theatre. My heart goes out to all our cast and crew but we'll be back on the 7th nov at The Pumphouse ready to make you laugh and cry! Due to the Assurance Package offered by the Arts & Culture Ministry who have been incredibly supportive, everyone involved will be paid in full and I encourage any Producer to push for our artists and crew to be covered - nobody deserves to lose months of work at a time. If anyone needs some help around this please reach out - there are lots of hoops to jump through but its worth it. Love to all the amazing Arts community out there - you are not alone in your frustation and uncertainty however we will bounce back stronger than ever! Aroha nui # # #

We’re doing it again!

After fantastic seasons at Circa in Wellington opening the Women's Theatre Festival in 2020 and The Mayfair Theatre in Dunedin, we are now bringing this incredible theatre experience to our friends and whanau in Auckland and Whangarei!

And what a ride it’s been to get there - darling Covid … say no more! So please support us by being in our audience.
