HISTORY

With just US$25,000 of borrowed capital, Bernard Rapoport founded American Income Life more than 50 years ago. Mr. Rapoport encouraged our agency and founder of AIL of New Zealand Ltd. Managing Director Steve Friedlander to bring American Income Life to the beautiful country of New Zealand.

Today, American Income Life has become one of the United States’ largest providers of supplemental life insurance to labour unions, credit unions, and associations. American Income Life provides coverage to over two million policyholders and represents over US$130 million in annual insurance product sales worldwide. American Income Life’s growth has been sustained through high customer satisfaction, innovative lead programs, word of mouth referrals, and one of the most lucrative Agent compensation programs in the industry.

Office Social Media Guidelines:

Our Office’s Social Media pages allow our field representatives, Home Office employees, consumers, and others interested in learning about us to engage in online interactions and discussions. Cyberbullying will not be tolerated. Any offensive posts or comments on our Official Social Media sites will be removed at the Office’s discretion and the offending users will be reported to the respective online service provider. Before participating on our Social site, please read and adhere to the following guidelines:

For Office Staff and Independent Contractors

Our Office takes no position on your individual decision to start or maintain a blog
or participate in other Social Media activities. However, it is the right and duty of the Office to protect itself from unauthorized disclosure of information. The Social Media policy of this Office includes rules for Office-authorized Social networking and personal Social networking. Please also see the Office’s Social Media Guidelines.

General Provisions

Social Media includes blogging, video postings, Wiki postings, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, Google+, Tumblr, Pinterest, chat rooms, online journals, diaries, personal newsletters, etc. Unless specifically instructed, Office staff and independent contractors are not authorized, and therefore restricted, to speak on behalf of the Office. Office staff and contractors may not publicly discuss clients, products, Office staff or contractors, or any work-related matters, whether confidential or not, outside Office-authorized communications. Office staff and contractors are expected to protect the privacy of the Office, its affiliates and subsidiaries, its Office staff and contractors, and its clients, and are prohibited from disclosing personal information and any other proprietary and nonpublic information to which Office staff and contractors have access. Such information includes, but is not limited to, customer information, trade secrets, financial information, and strategic business plans.

Employer Monitoring

Office staff and contractors are cautioned that they should have no expectation of privacy using the Internet. Office staff and contractor postings can be reviewed by anyone, including your coworkers, manager, supervisors, and others associated with the Office. The Office reserves the right to monitor comments or discussions about the Company, its Office staff and contractors, clients, and the industry, including products and competitors, posted on the Internet by anyone, including Office staff and nonemployees. Office staff and contractors are cautioned that they should have no expectation of privacy while using Office equipment or facilities for any purposes, including authorized blogging.

Reporting Violations

The Office requests and strongly urges Office staff and contractors to report any violations, perceived violations, or possible violations to Office management. Violations include discussions of any Office and its Office staff, contractors, and clients, and any discussion of proprietary information and any unlawful activity related to blogging or Social networking.

Discipline for Violations

The Office investigates and responds to all reports of violations of the Social networking policy and other related policies. Violation of the Office’s Social Media policy willresult in disciplinary action up to and including immediate termination. Discipline or termination will be determined based on the nature and factors of any blog or Social networking post.
