Sales Syndicate has just celebrated its 9th birthday🎉, so we thought it was a good time to share a little bit about the journey so far!
This was our first ever service and was essentially the beginning of Indicator. To this day, it remains our most definitive offering - a unique blend of development and community.
Before we began, we interviewed 30 Sales leaders about their issues and challenges faced. Sales Leadership is extremely challenging and important – and whilst there were many leadership development options available at the time, none specifically focused on “Sales Leadership”. A unique role that requires management of salespeople, constant reporting, delivery (and scrutiny) of revenue performance. The leaders we spoke to at the time had never spent formal time with other sales leader peers and were instead entirely focused on their own business.
From the outset, we recognised these leaders would benefit from two key offerings:
1️⃣ Development opportunities crafted specifically for Sales Leadership
2️⃣ The opportunity to share and be supported by other Sales Leaders
Sales Syndicate (and therefore Indicator) launched in June 2015, with just 8 leaders in one group and 7 in another. Today, almost a decade later, it continues to thrive by focusing on two core areas: hashtag and hashtag , and like all good services, the offering has gotten better over time. By responding to the needs and feedback of our members and iterating, the Sales Syndicate experience is now richer and more impactful than ever before.
Our Sales Syndicate leaders gather monthly for in person and online workshops with expert guests and great conversation. Most importantly - it is being part of a community that makes it successful. Shared challenges and goals from leaders in organisations of all sizes. The prerequisites for members are an enthusiasm to learn, a passion for meeting and enjoying the company of others, coupled with a role that leads a team towards a revenue target.
Over the years we’ve helped over 350 members to learn, grow and excel. In fact, some of the initial members are still involved today. A big thank you to every single member who has played a role in the journey so far and for any future members who will no doubt do the same. It has been a privilege so far and we are looking forward to at least another 9. If you would like to understand if being involved would be of benefit for you, we would love to talk.
Have you had a great experience being part of Indicator's Sales Syndicate? We’d love to hear it below.
