The Longevity Fasting Diet (LFD) was our very first meal plan, developed all the way back in 2016! Since then, it has supported so many of our customers in achieving their health goals, from weight loss, to cancer treatment support, to reducing the risk of heart disease, to kick-starting healthier lifestyles.
WHAT IS THE LFD?
👉 Based on the Fasting-Mimicking Diet(TM) meal plan
👉 Three or five days of prepared meals & snacks
👉 Based on extensive research on health & longevity
👉 Fully vegan, gluten-free, paleo, all-natural
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE POTENTIAL BENEFITS?
👉 Weight loss & fat burning
👉 Improved health markers (cholesterol, triglycerides)
👉 Detoxification
👉 Improved energy & focus
👉 Kick-starting healthier eating habits
WHAT DO I GET WHEN I ORDER?
👉 Three or five days of prepared meals and snacks
👉 Information Pack with everything you need to know about the LFD
👉 Refeeding Guide with recipes
👉 Menu
We’ve tried to make the LFD as easy to complete as possible by preparing all of the meals and providing as much information as possible so you can get the most from your fast.
Despite the closure of the rest of our online shop, we are committed to ensuring the LFD remains available. Both the three-day and five-day plans will continue as normal, with pickup and delivery options on Tuesdays and Fridays as well at nationwide delivery.
A quick update for those who aren't signed up for our newsletter👇We want to say a huge THANK YOU for making the last month of our online shop a great one! It was wonderful to be able to see so many of you when you collected your orders over the past few weeks, and we’re sure we’ll get to catch up with more of you during LFD pick ups over the coming months.
While we’re closing the majority of our online shop, you can rest assured we’ll still be creating our most popular meal plan - the Longevity Fasting Diet! The LFD will be the main focus of our business moving forward (make sure you go follow for more info), along with a select range of LFD soups and keto baking which can be ordered individually.
It’s been a crazy, wonderful and challenging decade developing our wide range of wholefood meals, slices, baked goods, and meal plans, and we are so grateful to have been able to pursue a passion of ours. Here are some highlights:
👉 We opened two Sip Kitchen eateries
👉 We started two meal plans
👉 We developed an online shop
👉 We made it through one pandemic
👉 We hosted countless workshops
👉 We raised a couple of kids
👉 We catered a tonne of events
👉 We had half a dozen stockists
👉 We grew to having nationwide delivery
👉 We sponsored a range of different events
👉 And we pivoted from being a cafe to an online shop
While it’s going to be strange not creating the wide variety of items we have had previously, we’re looking forward to putting this additional energy into other pursuits alongside the Longevity Fasting Diet.
See you soon!
Darren and Vicky

We talk about how we use “whole foods” at Sip Kitchen, but what the heck are whole foods??Generally, the easiest way to figure out whether something is made with whole foods is to look at its label. Does it have a long list of words you've never heard of on it? Then it’s likely not made with whole foods (there are some exceptions of course). Or better yet, maybe it doesn’t even have a label like fruits and veggies!
Some examples of whole foods include:
➖ Fresh vegetables and fruit - broccoli, apples, kale etc
➖ Legumes - lentils, kidney beans, split peas etc
➖ Whole grains - quinoa, rice, buckwheat, oats etc
➖ Meat (unprocessed) - steak, chicken breast, salmon etc
If you have a look at the ingredients lists for some of our items, you’ll find that most of them contain ingredients that fall into one of the categories above so are whole food based.
But why bother eating whole foods? What’s so good about them?
👉 Nutrients - Wholefoods generally contain more nutrients, and more bioavailable nutrient, whereas processed foods are often stripped of a lot of their nutrients (vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients) during processing which can lead to nutrient deficiencies if processed foods are your main source of food.
👉 Good fats - It’s easier to get in “good” fats (omega 3’s, monounsaturated fat) when you eat a whole food diet, and harder to eat “bad” fats like trans fats (found in fast-food/processed food).
👉 Fibre - Processed foods are often stripped of fiber during processing. Fiber is important for gut and heart health and helps you feel fuller for longer.
👉 No added extras - Processed foods often contain added sugar and salt which can lead to metabolic diseases and weight gain.
Who remembers the Chia Berry Jam recipe we used to serve with our Banana Bread at the cafe?? We know a few people do because a few people have asked for it recently, so here it is!This no-cook chia jam is great served with your weekend baking or on top of your brekkie in the morning. Plus the chia seeds are high in protein, omega threes, fibre, antioxidants, magnesium and calcium, helping you get a great start to your day. ☀️
If you make the recipe please tag us in your pics! We'd love to see what you pair it with.
🍓 Chia Berry Jam 🍓
1/2C Chia seeds
250ml Apple Juice
30ml Lemon Juice
50ml Coconut nectar or maple syrup
1 generous cup of your choice of frozen berries (defrosted)
👉 Add all of the ingredients except for the defrosted berries and mix thoroughly. A whisk works well to separate the chia seeds if clumps form.
👉 In a separate bowl, mash the frozen berries to break them down. If you prefer chunkier jam then don't mash them too much
👉 Add the berries to the chia mx and stir thoroughly
👉 Place in the fridge to let the chia seeds absorb the liquids and become plump
👉 Stir again after about 20 mins. If the chia seeds still need more time to absorb the moisture and the jam to thicken up place back in the bridge for a while
👉 Enjoy!

Home-made coconut yoghurt recipe 🥥
Coconut yoghurt is really easy to make at home! You only need 2 ingredients - coconut cream and probiotic powder, a glass bowl, a glass jar, and a whisk.
Coconut yoghurt is a great alternative to dairy yoghurt and can be used pretty much anywhere you would use conventional yoghurt - on granola, on chia pots, in dressings, on top of winter soups etc.
Coconut yoghurt isn’t only delicious and versatile, it also has a bunch of health benefits. It contains important vitamins, minerals and fibre, as well as probiotics. Probiotics are great for digestive, heart and brain health, can help boost immunity, and may help with weight loss.
Here's the recipe we use:
1. Sterilise 1 x 1L jar
2. Pour 1 L of coconut cream into a clean glass bowl
3. Add 1 tsp probiotic powder or empty 2 probiotic capsules into the coconut cream and whisk well
4. Pour into your sterilised glass jar and cover with muslin cloth/cheesecloth and store in a warm place for 24-48 hours
Here are our top tips for making coconut yoghurt at home:
👉 Tip 1: We use Kara coconut cream when we make our coconut yoghurt but Cocomas or any other high-quality coconut cream will do the trick.
👉 Tip 2: Most high-quality non-dairy probiotic powders work well. If you only have probiotic capsules just make sure you open them and just use the powder when making your coconut yoghurt. Make sure you mix it in well so there are no lumps.
👉 Tip 3: A hot water cupboard is a great place to store your coconut yoghurt for the 48 hrs that it’s fermenting.
Enjoy!

All of our veggie dishes are packed full of nutrients and fibre, making them versatile to pair with your favourite side of protein. 👉 Top tip - a good aim is 120g of your choice of protein to help hit your daily protein requirements.
The dahl and Thai curry pair beautifully with white fish or chicken and the mediterranean veggie bake goes well with pretty much every protein we can think of.
