To our 1st XV Brothers…what a game! Your resilience, heart and determination were amazing to see. A few bounces of the ball going your way it would have been a different story. What a season though, all of us are proud of what you accomplished and though you didn’t take out the final you are still champions to us! 🪢

Win, lose or draw we know that we have the Brothers there to support. Thank you everyone for coming out last night, the noise was unreal! Sorry we couldn’t bring home the 🏆 for Rosmini, but the pain of the loss is tempered knowing you had our backs right till the end. Onward and upward, next stop Regionals and then the Big Dance. 🪢

It was a great night for Rosmini Basketball as 12 of our Year 7&8 teams won their semi-finals to advance to the Grand Finals of their grades. Win or lose next Monday this is a great achievement for our young basketball players! Good luck to everyone playing!

Not only has it been a record breaking year for participation by our Year 7&8 basketball teams at Rosmini College with 21 teams playing in the Harbour Basketball competition, but now another record has been broken with 17 of those 21 team participating in semi finals on Monday night! Get down and support the future of Rosmini Basketball as they try to push through to the Grand Finals next week! ❤️💙

As Semester One is headed into its Finals Rounds, preparation starts again for Semester Two. Basketball never sleeps! ❤️💙

Week 2 of grading games for our Year 7&8 teams! Hoping for another good batch of wins from our boys!

Mr Owen Hughes has been a huge supporter of Rosmini Basketball from its earliest days of development. He has helped countless of our student-athletes to pursue their dreams, and has been an advocate for all those involved in our program. He has done all of this with no fanfare, or expectation of any credit, rather the satisfaction that our boys are reaching their potential. Now this selfless man of service is facing his own battle and anything that you can do to help him would be greatly appreciated. Owen is truly a legend of Rosmini and it is now our job to give him the support that he so gracefully has given to us throughout the years. Link to the Give A Little page is in our bio. ❤️💙

🏀 It’s that time again! 🏀 Year 7&8 basketball tips off on Monday March 4th. We have record numbers this year, with an incredible 21 teams registered! It’s going to be a great year of play and development. Good luck boys! 🔴🔵

🏀NIGHT OUT AT THE BREAKERS🏀
Recently a group of families, students, and teachers were given the opportunity to attend two Breakers games due to the generous donation of 200 tickets from the Simpson family, through parent Stephen Simpson, Director of O’Halloran North Shore Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors. As the proud accounting partner and sponsor for the BNZ Breakers, Stephen kindly donated 200 tickets to Rosmini College for the last 2 regular season home games on the 9th and 16th of February. The Rosmini community that attended must have been good luck as the Breakers took out both games in their quest for the playoffs!

Great to see some of our Year 10 and 11 boys head to Tauranga over the weekend on a Development trip organised by coach Theo Johnson. The weekend included massive on and off court learnings for these boys as they push forward in their development plans this off-season! Thanks to Theo for all of his hard work in making this happen

Nationals 2023 have been a roller coaster ride for our team. With some close losses in pool play, we found ourselves in the 9-16 bracket. Tomorrow we finish our season, playing off for the 9th spot.

While it’s been disappointing to not live up to our own expectations, we have come away with huge learnings and individual growth. It’s been a healthy challenge to hold standards even when results have not gone our way.

We’ve had a great season with a Auckland Premiership Finals appearance and the Zone 1 Championship. Looking forward to finishing strong tomorrow!
